I really wish you could rent a VR kit for a few days (personal rentals not event companies). The price of entry is too high.

If only I had the time to play anything these days. Why did they have to take so damn long?

Yeah that looked fantastic. I can but dream it will make its way to PSVR at some point.

Gone from selling vive to buying index controllers
  • Deleted user 21 November 2019 21:17:11
Disappointed neogaf hasn’t realised you’re playing as a woman

Looks amazing but I won't be able to play it as I get terrible motion sickness from vr.

When's it set? Didn't Eli die at the end of ep 2? Admittedly it's been a while since I last played it ;)
    Between 1 & 2

Might just spunk 2k and book March off.

Going by some comments elsewhere... this, Cyberpunk, Doom Eternal, Kerbal 2 and Mount and Blade 2 all March 2020.

New PC, the full Index kit and all of those games would be about £2000.

Can you use index controller with vive?
Yes, and you get HL:A if you buy the controllers only. Think that's what I'll go for.

Looked amazing but it should have been set after hl2 ep 2
  • Deleted user 21 November 2019 22:16:03
@Tomo you fucking have to as the vive controller are bad aids.

Edit: I’ve just set my vive up again, fuck you valve!

I'm fine with them tbh. Not used anything else, so not had the experience of a better controller. This is as good a time to upgrade though.

I've got a heavily modded Skyrim VR setup though, so I think I'll keep the Vive wands for that.

Quest controllers are orders of mangnitude better, released much later granted

The feature length buzz is promising, day one purchase and pray its not buggy as fuck.

Bought a Dell Visor thing cheap and using it happily since September, res of 1440x1440 per eye and no towers, controllers are a bit shit but work, under £250 at the right time or cex etc. Had to grab a flight stick and all under £300. Had a good few months fucking around, Thief simulator vr and Vader Immortal the latest games that I liked a lot.

I'll upgrade when wireless tech and res can be bumped up, seeing driving games in vr like PC2 and Dirt Rally makes you realise how much GPU it takes.
  • Deleted user 21 November 2019 23:41:03
If it’s implemented well the tech is irrelevant. Wipeout is the best vr experience available

The first page of this thread is just bitching that it’s VR only and obviously a daft decision because percentage of owners vs total steam accounts is so low.

Page 4 is people working out how to spend up to £2k in the next 4 months in order to be able to play it.
