Yeah, Fringe was better than X-Files. Breaking Bad Banshee Legion Succession Dark The Leftovers Fleabag Russian Doll Chernobyl The Terror (season 1 only, 2 was terribad) Too early to say: Watchmen Not much love for Stranger Things considering about half the forum seem to think it's peak telly. Registered 3 years agoStranger Things is like that Mad Max game IMO, love the world they've created, and really captured a time which some of us remember fondly, but with that pared away the story isn't strong enough to stand on its own merits -
The only thing about Fringe is that they actually pressed a big reset button. -

Registered 12 years agoThen pretty much got away with it anyway, cause it's really a show about heart and the three lead characters. -

Registered 9 years agoFringe was great because of Walter. I'd probably even rate it above X-Files, though it wouldn't be in my 2010 best-of list. -

I avoided anything that spanned the turn of the decade, otherwise I would have stuck Fringe in there. I fucking loved that show.
+1
I gave away quite a few blu rays to charity recently, amongst them stuff like true blood, but not fringe. Top show. Might have to rewatch it soon. Also forgot to mention man in the high castle which for me is fringe’s
spiritual successor.
Sister is watching x- files are the moment. Been dipping into now and again with her and the first season is really old school 60/70s tv but in a good way. But it’s something I never got round to watching all the way through

Despite liking Fringe quite a bit, the first half of season 4 ranks amongst the very worst TV I've ever seen. Some how it managed to recover and end up reasonably well. -

Registered 9 years agoI liked Stranger Things season 1, but s2... man, that was some awful telly. Total crap.
There's a short series of HG Wells stories on Amazon Prime which is pretty good, narrated by that prick from the gambling adverts. -

Registered 2 years agoWhen I found out Twin Peaks was coming back, I shut down all further news on it, apart from the sad loss of the actors who didn't make it. I waited until it came out on DVD, took a week off, got a couple of oz. of finest, and rewatched the whole original, then the new one, without a scooby what to expect.
Best. Fucking. Telly. Ever. And all 5 of my top 5.

I forget breaking bad, I actually started watching that the night my dad died of lung cancer. Probably wouldn’t have bothered otherwise.
What are people favourites they’ve watched this decade but not of this decade? For me;
Deep space nine
Outer limits (original series)
The thick of it
Firefly
Hitchcock presents
