Registered 15 years agoRE Origins and Resi 7 are in the PSN Christmas sale. Worth getting? Which one first?
Also, for the origins bundle, can you download each game separately or do you need to have them both installed in a single file? -

Registered 14 years ago@Roddy100 don’t know about Origins, but the Revelations games are separate games & files for each and can be downloaded individually.
RE7 is just excellent and bang back on form. I’d start there if you haven’t played it. -

Registered 15 years ago@Lotos8ter Thanks! Might have to get 7 then. (Although, the teaser demo was scarier than any RE game I've played.) -

Registered 5 years agoOrigins is only available as a single package but it's quite cheap now and the REmake is a stone cold classic.
0 has some utter nonsense in its plot and I don't think it really fits the chronology as a prequel but it is for the most part a very solid survival horror game. -

Registered 5 years agoRE7 is one of my games of the generation.
And I'm a total Revelations apologist, even if 7 and 2 make them look daft in retrospect I stand by them as superior Resi experiences to 5 and 6 -

Registered 6 years ago@Roddy100 7 is the scariest of them all. Origins I assume has remake1 and 0, both are great. Crimson heads in remake combined with the camera angles are something else -

Registered 15 years agoThanks for the comments. I think I'll have to get both as a long time Resi fan. I might start with Origins as it's currently dirt cheap and I've never played REmake.
Still have my PSOne copies of Resi 2 and 3! Fond memories. -

No mercenaries. Can't say it bothers me I've hardly ever spent time in the extra modes. All about the main campaign for me and making that worth replaying. -

Elsewhere, Capcom said Nemesis is untethered in Resident Evil 3 remake, compared to Resident Evil 2's Mr. X, who was confined to the corridors of the Raccoon City Police Department. Sounds frightening.
Oh sheeeet... I wonder what they mean by 'untethered'. Will 'safe'rooms still be safe 😳? -

Registered 14 years ago@Rodderz they need to be. There's some puzzle section locations that will need a bit of protection too. I don't think they'll mess it up though. -

Yeah I guess you're right, that would rather ruin the original concept of having somewhere to relax for a bit!

I can't remember Resi 3 too well, even though I played the shit out of it as a teenager. I don't recall the puzzles as well as I'd remembered the Resi 2 ones. I do however, remember being wowed that for the first time you could walk up/down stairs in RE3 without pressing the X button to do it for you 😁 -

This opinion hasn't changed after seeing that.
They just need to get the Nemesis and its aggressiveness right. I felt it could get a bit much in 2 with how often tyrant was after you and Nemesis is a step up if anything in terms of speed and determination.
Not sure I'd like it if you spend the whole game just constantly running in circles trying to lose it. -

That does look pretty bloody lovely. Was that a cameo by Mr.X I saw there? The bit where Jill crashes her car into him and he starts getting up again? It clearly wasn't Nemesis she crashed into as 'it' had an overcoat and hat on. Presumably he was on his way to ruin Leon and Claire's evening 😁.

In RE2 they’ve added Re3 to the main menu. It’s not much but you can listen to some gloomy scary music from the game and enjoy the main character art, while feeling prompted to go the Psn store to preorder -

I hope there will be a few Easter eggs to the other games.
Wonder if the hunters will be as persistent as they were in ReRe.
I hope they’ve removed the buttworm from beyond though. -

Registered 18 years agoI'm doing a Claire B run and finding it punishing , I think it's the two guns you get are a bit crappy and ammo is scarce .
Getting the launcher might even things up a bit and opens up more ammo , fingers crossed. -

I wonder how they’ll handle the unlockables in this as there’s no Mercenaries mode like for the original. I think there used to be a unique weapon for downing Nemesis on each of his appearances- love stuff like that.
