Mr. X stomping around REmake 2 almost made me chuck the game. It's a horrible mechanic that sucks the wind and pacing out of things.

Tried the demo for this and nah.

    @MrAGSystems
Have to agree. I love 2 and have played many times on many consoles but I found him very tiring this time around. Not tried 3 yet.

Not going to try the demo but I've mentioned it on this thread my biggest concern was Nemesis himself. If he's too aggressive and too on top of you all the time, I think it will just put people off (me included)

    Caved and downloading the demo.

Mr X was great. Not sure I want a whole game of it though and I was never a massive fan of 3. See how it goes.

Honestly didn't find anything wrong with Mr X, I found he mostly just stomped around nearby rather than actually doing anything.

@Duffking - fair point, after a few run throughs, you learnt his trigger points and could have a trouble free run on the whole. Things like arranging the library bookcases on the first visit meant it was a lot quicker to solve once you had the trolley jack handle when he was guaranteed to be close behind.
Nemesis seems a fair bit more aggressive and will have weapons too, so hope theyíve balanced it.

@DUFFMAN5 If I remember, isn't him showing up in the A scenario a new thing with the remake? I don't remember seeing him so early way back on the PS1.

Up or down, junk mechanic. I made it to the sewers of Leon B and had enough (I'm away I've gone through the most egregious part of it all, but it's spoiled my fun, I have no desire to dive back in.

They should've kept it as they did with the originals; in resi 2 scenario B, he shows up at certain points. You can blast or run away, he doesn't follow. Resi 3, nemesis would follow you into rooms - same thing blast at him or run away as he'll only follow you through so many rooms.

The 3 remake is going to be more of the same of the 2 remake except more aggressive and you can dodge and stuff.

Also, it's just bland. Neither remake has the charm of the originals. The environments, the backgrounds had so much more character. A style, an art theme. Remakes are just.. it looks plain at times.

Not a day 1 purchase but it's nice they seemingly have some background music this time.

I like the look of it. Recently finished 2 remake and thought it was excellent. I'm all over 3 remake as well.

Fookin ell shat my pants. I donít know if I want the entire game of him following me. But the mechanic seems decent with being able to roll to dodge him. Just need to time it right.

Innit. It was a wonderful game and fantastic update to a classic.

Demo for this is more of the same. Did shit a brick when he showed and he killed me. Will have another go later.

    Entirely this.

Just had a quick blast of the demo and it's mostly great. Controls feel slightly gloopy, but I'll fuck around with the sensitivity.

I'll grab the demo in a bit. Just got the ps4 setup earlier and downloaded a few games. Forgot about this.

I had to so that. Didn't feel right at all at first but the options are there.

OK played it again and took my time. Managed to get the shotgun and gun upgrade and a few other secrety bits.

Nemy can be really annoying when you're just trying to explore. In the same way as the Library bit with Mr X in 2. The worst bit. Hope it's not too overwhelming...

Demo performs significantly worse than the Resident Evil 2 remake on on X1X.

Performance is all over the place. A shame.

Re Nemesis. I have now played the demo twice and he only appears at the very end as Iím going back through the doughnut store with the hose. So I just run past him with varying degrees of success and put out the fire and thatís that. It does seem like thereís a cutscene missing there with the big Nemesis reveal, but maybe that happens earlier before the demo. From comments on here it seems that he appears earlier and is more of a nuisance, is that so?

Anyway, I just love it, itís all amazing. So much better than VII which I havenít been able to get through so far. The 1st person perspective just doesnít agree with me while this is all Iíve ever wanted in a RE.

7 is great imo. The first person perspective brought the survival back to resi evil.
2 was a struggle to manage ammo in my playthrough so picking your battles was fun. The demo of 3 I canít tell what itíll play like throughout. Perhaps nemesis will rip through your ammo. I just hope it doesnít go back to resi 4 because youíre just shooting enemies with ease.

Am a little bit underwhelmed by the demo to be honest. I'm now rethinking whether it will be a day one purchase for me. Performance seems a bit sluggish on the X1X which is a concern. I loved RE7 and RE2 Remake. For me the demo of RE3 kind of feels like a reskinned RE2 with Nemesis replacing Mr X (and worse performance).
