I don't think it was as good as 2. That was a masterpiece.

Though I'd have said exactly the same 20 years ago.

I finally completed Leon B last weekend, I managed to cope with the instant pressure of Mr. X appearing so quickly, after that it was exactly the same as Leon A. Managed to get an S ranking for my troubles.

Itís kind of remarkable that theyíve not just captured the feel of each game within the game but the feel of the relationship between the two of them

Some of my friends set up whatsapp group to chat about games and film etc during lockdown unfortunately one of my friends invited his friend (idiot) to the group.

Idiot was angrily defending the multiplayer section of RE3 saying "we were all be singing its praises" Turns out he has only played it for about a 1 hour according to his XBL game stats despite getting the game at launch. He is now ranting on how RE4 remake should be co-op based co-op shooter with cool moves "as he can now play RE4 with his son"

I do hate cunts like this who just want multiplayer modes for everything then not play them much and want every SH type game turned into generic "bad gears shoota"

Definite no from me about co-op. Must admit not overly excited about the 4 remake. More interested in what they can bring to 8.

No co-op in Resident Evil games. Ever.

I've installed it, never felt the urge to even look at it.

If it was a straight up co op multiplayer I might but I can't be arsed with a halfway house strategy/shooting tabletop thing

Not sure how it got out of the ideas phase

I wonder how hard it wouldíve bombed if it was a standalone title. Which I think was the original plan.

Youíd think by now theyíd realise that no one likes the gimmicky non-Survival Horror/Action-Horror titles but theyíve been trying for twenty years now

Have they said whether thereíll be DLC for RE3?

Tyrell or the guy who locks himself away in the container at the start of the game could be good for short little bits of extra story dlc.

I don't think they've announced anything, but I'd be surprised if they dont add Mercenaries at a later date.

As long as itís not a missed opportunity like the RE2 dlc where you got characters who could have their own interesting pieces of narrative pitched against a million zombies and a corridor to race along

OMG its like all signs pointed to this!

I'm beginning to think that RE2 was a bit of a one-hit wonder...

Capcom keep trying with MP focus RE games, outbreak series is suppose to be decent but that was on ps2 when online was not as easy as ps3/360 onwards
Raccoon city and those games were utter shit, they should give up

In the main series only RE5 and 6 were the bad ones (6 was the fucking worse) everything else was great (4 was great at the time but looking back its were the series went wrong by the idiot devs focusing on the worse aspects of 4)

I was watching RE4 retrospectives and its Minkami that pushed for the more action focus and he was the one that killed the RE4 hookman prototype and a more traditional RE4

Probably the inventory pouches in terms of usefulness.

If you want to do the harder difficulties, the stars manual is a must. Then the coins.

Infinite guns are fun but you may as well not play the game, it renders it pointless imo. It's just cheat mode.

The crafting one is good but you shouldn't really need it unless you're absolutely blasting away at everything.

I'm doing it guys, Resi 6 is on the backlog and I'm at a bit of a loss for things to play at the minute. Not really sure why as my cup runneth over but I'm not sure what I'm in the mood for. It can't be that bad.
    Famous last words!
I just finished Leon's campaign. Wow, do you guys remember how awesome QTEs were?
I just finished Resi 6. Yeah OK it was pretty shit, but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting after the drubbing it got in this thread, so that's a plus I guess?

I looked this up as I was so dismayed by it, but 5 is #1, then 6 and 7, which is disappointing as I thought 5 was a bit crap as well, but 7 was amazing. All 3 have sold over 7 million apparently.

For anyone into them, this is the current world record for standard difficulty. 48 mins 37 secs. And it's still early days yet. Will probably be beaten soon.
