@dfunked09 Yeah the dpad is the reason I went back, I don't like how loud and clicky it is. Apart from that it is quite nice.

Man, the controller EATS batteries doesn't it? Didn't realise it wasn't rechargeable but didn't really think about it when I put the supplied AAAs in and they died last night. Play and charge kit seems to be sold out on Amazon too.
Yeah, my batteries died yesterday as well. I've got the play and charge kit, but Mrs Hermit has confiscated it so that one of our daughters can give it back to me for Christmas.

It's kinda nice that the Series X works with so much of the One peripherals. I had a Play 'n' Charge kit for the One controller I got with my Oculus Rift, and it worked a treat.

Not a lot of help for brand new XB owners, of course.

The batteries die pretty quickly for games that are rumble heavy (FH4 and Halo 5 for example). I went for the fancy rechargeable batteries option that someone posted on here a while back and they've lasted well so far.

Yeah I noticed the supplied batteries getting rinsed so ordered some rechargeables. My 2 year old son has got a full fleet of Thomas & Friends trains that chew through batteries so I'm well overdue getting in on the recharging action.

I'm quite impressed with how well the one holds up to be honest.

I was just feeling confident with quick resume on Fallen Order since its worked every time so far. Thought I'd just leave it for the night last night....today, it didn't quick resume. Luckily it saves often.

I really hope they add a feature to see what's held at some point.

I have an annoying issue with fallen order where it gives me a profile error every time I resume and then dumps me back to the title screen. Anyone else getting that?

I can't beat the last level on Tetris.

Beat it in VR but just moved too quickly on this for me

Morning. Thinking of buying my eldest son a Series X for Xmas (stock permitting) but he currently shares Gold/Ultimate with his brother as they both currently have Xbox One's. Will they be able to continue to game share, share Ultimate etc. if one has a Series X and the other an Xbox One?

    TIA

Yes it still works the same as before. You donít need to do or change anything

I think this looks incredible. The fact that the One X version isn't perfect is actually reassuring, because I think we can therefore assume the video is genuine and this is how it looks.

I was really impressed with the difference between the One X and Series X versions too; even without the proper next-gen upgrade, it seems (as far as I can tell in a compressed YT vid) that SX runs at a higher res; ot just feels a bit sharper to me. And a lot smoother. And I think with greater LOD?

Also, I don't think in my entire life I've been as disingenous as the dude in the comments on the front page claiming it looks like an Xbox 360 game. This is probably one of the best-looking games of the generation.

Is the Series X version shown there the native new gen version that comes out next year, or is it just the patched current gen version? (last gen I guess now)

Definitely want to see that last-gen version of Cyberpunk. Given that the Series S will be running the original Xbox One version for a while, it's kind of important to me. I hope they will be implementing dynamic res so it's not stuck at 720p or whatever.

Well, not to mention the 160 million players out there with old consoles.

@monkman76 pretty sure it's just the Xbox One version running in back compat.

Quite impressive if so, some scenes looked a decent bit nicer.

Just added the XSX to my Harmony remote. No problem - other than I think the IR sensor is a little smaller maybe than the One X - had to add an extra IR blaster to the hub and position it with better line of sight to the Series X.

Been scratching my head why Gears 5 isn't installed any time I check, even though I'm sure I've queued it up before bed a couple of times now.

Turns out that if you've got stuff in your download queue ahead of it and external is your default install location, it will just remove anything that needs internal storage from the queue. You need to move it to the top of the queue and accept the warning before it actually starts downloading.

The Cyberpunk vid on a small phone screen reminded be a lot of the latest Deus Ex in terms of looks - but that was obviously on a much smaller scale, not massively open world, and also, I am sure on a big screen cyberpunk would be obviously more detailed and higher fidelity.

Those on about controller batteries. Get the Amazon basics AA grey/green ones. They're pretty high capacity so last ages in controllers

File under "late to the party" but I played Forza 7 for the first time this week. Looks great!

The loading is also kinda funny in that the tooltips and announcer script they have over the top of it to mask the million years it took to load barely has time to kick in on some of the tracks. :)

Given that was three years ago, I do wonder why there wasn't a Forza 8 ready for the Series X|S launch. Even a GT Sport-alike stripped down affair would've given them a decent bit of ammo on The Great Conslol War of 2020. Ho hum.

I've been playing FM7 on my laptop and fucking loving it. It's so very Forza-mulaic (races too short, start way down the grid, get elbows out in first two corners otherwise you've got absolutely no chance of catching the leaders), but it seems I just really like that formula.

Play and charge kits last forever, and much less faff than switching batteries around whenever they run out imo.

I'll probably get a third one whenever these AA batteries run out (I've relegated it to a controller for my PC now, which rarely gets used over M+K)
