I see the spammer who auto translated my first thread post into some language and back again's post is still on this page...
I haven't actually been playing those games though...

I enjoyed Enemy Within, but I did play it after a considerable gap from the first season. On PS4 it was great that it was bug free from what I recall unlike season 1 which was pretty bad.

Edit - ugh, new page so spam is on previous one not this one ;)

    05. 17/02 - Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition (PC) - 7/10 - Game Pass
    05.1. 19/02 - Final Fantasy XV Episodes (PC) - 5/10 - Game Pass
    06. 22/02 - World of Horror (PC) - 8/10 - Game Pass

    09. 15/03 - Black Mesa (PC) - 8/10 - Humble Monthly
    10. 22/03 - Dark Fall: Ghost Vigil (PC) - 6/10
    11. 27/03 - Ori and the Will of the Wisps (PC) - 7/10 - Game Pass
    12. 30/03 - Lunacy (Saturn) - 6/10

FMV games don't get enough love, and I know there have been at least a few good ones. Lunacy is a sort of spiritual successor to the first Mansion of Hidden Souls, and certainly a more interesting game than the actual MOHS sequel on the Saturn. It's still a completely FMV-based game, which at the time was not so weird. There are puzzles, but they are all fairly simple and spelled out for you. But this one takes some clues from the Lucasarts school, as I believe there's no way to die or get stuck in this game.

As par for the course, you get fabulous 90's CG animation, dub that ranges from okay to horrible, the localization team didn't care at all about lip syncing, and the plot is pretty rushed. But the visual design is solid, the movies are smooth, and it never quite grates on you.

It could have perhaps been a 7, but the design and atmosphere in the second half aren't quite as good as in the first half, and there is one annoying puzzle that forces you to backtrack often. On the plus side, you do get some truly hilarious death scenes.

@Malek86 That one was Torico over here wasn't it?

One I bought years ago and mean to play. Been tempted to get my Saturn setup again if it wasn't for the need for a new space battery due to the crappy design. (I don't know if my 6 in 1 cart or official memory card has non battery backup or not...)

Hey now, the saving system for the Saturn was cool. Sure it sucked that it lived on batteries. But it was much faster than the PS1's super slow memory cards. It was, in fact, fast enough to allow for seamless constant saving in certain games, much like a modern title would. That would have been impossible on the PS1, since accessing the memory card seemed to take up all system resources.

Anyway, the Action Replay cart does have flash memory, but you can't save directly to it. The official memory card can be saved on directly, but it has battery saving.

The batteries is the only reason it sucks ;) Thanks for reminding me which carts did what. I always regret not getting a spare Saturn while they were fairly cheap as my original was always prone to overheating.

But anyway I am off topic here... (again)

Another game from gamepass (totally getting vfm with it) I completed the campaigns, albeit you can keep replaying forever. Solo'd and co-op across all missions. Good gunplay and weapon variety. The Hordes are done well.

    Currently playing/dabbling:

    BioShock (ps4)
    WWZ (Domination mp)
Shadow of war, maybe 2 hours in
    Divinity UK TDKS. (360)

What a game. Never played it properly back in the day so picked up the PS4 remaster, and it absolutely deserves to be called a classic. 9.8/10 (loses a tiny bit for the BS instakill jetski ending sequence )

First time playing in years (and year) it is still a stunningly realised world that drips (yonk) with atmosphere. The pacing, the story are excellent as are the plasmids. Obviously I played as a good guy..now fellow EGers play it...would you kindly!

How do we judge fighting games on this? For single player do we need to complete every character or story mode included? Otherwise a 10-20 minute one character victory would feel like cheating. I dug out my Soul Edge PCB (no Tim Langdell Edge trademark changing thia one to 'Blade') and got a nice 1CC beating my previous top score but I don't think it should count as a numbered entry so will just have it here in this text. 4.07.83 1CC with Siegfried in Soul Edge arcade v1.

On other news still spending a lot of time on Assassin Creed Odyssey and restarted Akiba's Trip on Vita on hard mode (getting reacclimatised to the battle sysyem was quite a task but got the hang of it now). Think this is a multiple playthrough type game though so may take a while.

Absolutely loved it, if Resi 2 was Alien then 3 is Aliens, more action, less tense sequences. Finished it under 7 hours with 18 deaths, want to start another play-through now. 9/10 hope they release more content for it.

Played as soon as I completed the first game. Once again it has been wonderful to revisit Rapture after several years.

Playing directly after 1 you get to see the improvements and tweaks more, not that it needed many, but they work. It is very much Bioshock 1.5 but no complaints there.
Found the story to resonate with me. Daddy's and their daughters always gets me!
I also forgot a large chunk.

Just started dlc, I will play something else before Infinite though... probably :)

A bit dull to be honest, and has the standard point'n'click gameplay of really obtuse solutions to most of the puzzles.

Very enjoyable and I do love Picross puzzles. Some sections where they just don't stop talking dragged but otherwise excellent.

Almost 55 hours into Persona 5 Royal but paused that for now to of course play FFVII Remake. But so far everything from P5R means it will replace my game of the generation, which is Persona 5, pffft.

For a change of pace a freemium gacha mobile SMT game that I have been playing on and off for ages (without spending a penny). It manages to be SMT enough to be entertaining even if the plots aren't the strongest. Finished both routes of main story and the additional unlocked post game chapters on normal and all character DX2 unlock quests.

Elsewhere playing Ass Creed Odyssey mainly. And really need to polish off Beautiful Desolation and get back to Trails SC (gaming tablet has been temporarily recquisitioned as a streaming device). Also been getting back into Akiba's Trip on Vita.

I played it co-op recently, and it was a lot of fun overall.

    It does peak early, however.
Co op with a friend. It was good fun but nothing special.
