    1. Cthulhu Saves Christmas (PC) (11/1/20) (7.5/10) (100% STEAM trophies)
    2. AI: Somnium Files (PS4) (28/1/20) (8.5/10) (PLAT 29/1/20)
    3. Raging Loop (Switch) (12/2/20) (8.5/10)
    4. Sam and Mix Hit the Road (PC) (14/2/20) (7/10)
    5. Dead Rising 3 Untold Tales of Los Perdidos (PC)
    5.3 Chaos Rising (17/2/20) (7/10)
    5.4 The Last Agent (21/2/20) (8/10)
    6. Assassin's Creed Directors Cut (PC) (25/2/20) (7.5/10)
    7. Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation (Android) (11/4/20) (7.5/10)
    8. Assassin"s Creed Odyssey (PC) (25/4/20) (8.5/10)
8.1 Legacy of the First Blade (5/5/20) (7/10)
    9. Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise (PS4) (28/4/20) (8/10)
    10. Disaster Report 4; Summer Memories (PS4) (18/5/20) (8/10)
    10.1 Epilogues (23/5/20) (8/10)
    11. Trails in the Sky SC (PC) (21/5/20) (9/10)
    12. Beautiful Desolation (PC) (22/5/20) (9.5/10)
    13. E. D. F. 5 (PS4) (25/5/20) (8.5/10)
    14. Uncharted 4 (PS4) (3/6/20) (7/10)
    15. Hitman (2016) (PC) (9/6/20) (8.5/10)
    16. Hitman 2 (PC) 12/6/20) (8.5/10)

And finished Hitman 2 with most stories done and more Silent Assassin grades than in 1. Finished with an online level of 107 for both games abd took about 35 hours for both games. You could see the budget reduction in the cutscenes but other than that you wouldn't have known io had switched to self publishing. The range of levels were interesting amd varied and I enjoyed most of them (Mumbai was a highlight for me). Story remained interesting and I know look forward to Hitman 3. I have the DLC for 1 to play so will likely do that and look at the HM2 DLC on the next Steam sale. Might even go back to some of the older games. But tomorrow it is onto TitS 3rd... Tried out one elusive target but messed up early and you only get one chance (always remember to put your tools away...)

Week 24 so 8 games behind now... Started Gris before HM so that should be a quickie and have a few more possibilities...

Edit - added completion time I missed out.

@Malek86 I was never brave enough to try PoP3D. I do need to find the best way to play the classic PoP 2 again some day though as the SNES port was awful and not sure how easy it is to get running on DosBox. It is a shame that the remake they did was mobile only.

Not much to it, but fun enough and was extremely cheap.

Now back to Far Cry Primal which I'm enjoying a lot, unlikely I'll have that finished before The Last of Us Part II but will do what I can and pick up again after!

#7 Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition NSW 16/06

Awesome game. Already completed before on Wii and thoroughly enjoyed this second playthrough, loved finding new areas and quests I'd missed out on previously.

It's been a while since I completed a game, but a new Animal Crossing will do that. :)

@One_Vurfed_Gwrx Dosbox is easy to setup overall. But I'm surprised that the old games are not available on GOG or something. Since Ubisoft holds the rights, and they usually aren't shy about releasing old games again, you'd think it would be an easy buck.

As for now, I'm still keeping up the trend, and now slowly making my way through POP 2008. It's certainly different.

    14: Star Wars Battlefront II+DLC campaign (ps4) beat on 19/06/20. Score 7/10

My second time of playing the campaign (did so on xbox when it came out) first of playing the 3 story "chapters" dlc though, which only amount to around an hour or so gameplay but they are a nice addition and close the story out well. Enjoyed it a lot, nice bite size missions with a fair amount of variety. A mix of boots on ground and aerial combat flying many iconic ships of course.
A good amount of replayabilty as well as you can change your cards and loadouts.

Looking at my 14 completions this year, so far 9 of them have previously been completed on a different console!!! I mean it is not as though there are enough new games out there ;)
Also I have never spent so much time on a PlayStation since the original machine and before Xbox launched.

Although my next 3 completions will all be brand new games, well 2 and a remake I never played.

    Currently playing
    The last of Us 2

I seem to recall that there were some specific issues with PoP2 on Dosbox at one point, don't know if that has been resolved though. I was always annoyed when Sony's "other formats aren't allowed more features than ours" policy meant the European Prince of Persia Sands of Time on Xbox had the PoP 2 bonus gake excised and only got the same PoP that all formats got. (I don't know how well that version of PoP2 ran though...)

New epilogue for the main game, an enjoyable amuse-bouche! 8/10

Now, I really need to go back and finish off Dragon Quest XI. I'm sure I'm near the final boss, but I put it aside for Xenoblade. Priorities.

#9 Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch 21/06

This is a funny one. I enjoyed it, but I wasn't totally engaged. For example, I devoured Xenoblade and completed it in three weeks, however I've been trucking along with Dragon Quest since January. No idea why, it ticks all the right boxes, but I often didn't feel motivated to keep going.

Ah well, it's done now. 8/10 (it's not the game, it's me) ;)

Wow that was a ride, not a classic like the first game, but it was never going to be. It still was a highly polished game and for the most part engrossing. I did see where it was heading very early on, (I had stayed away from any spoilers) but that did not hurt the game or lessen my interest.

The combat was amazing as was the soundtrack and gun/explosion fx, graphically it looked wonderful (on standard ps4) much of the time.
I did think some, well in fact a lot of the faces were not great though. Luckily Joel, Tommy and Ellie looked as they should.

Probably could have done with more enemy variety but that is only a small concern. I did get massive deja vu with a lot of the environments though, some seemed to be a carbon copy of areas I visited in the first game, even if not a shot for shot remake, I had a very familiar feeling!

It was not perfect and for a good few hours (several in fact) in the campaign I was less than happy and if it had ended then I think it would have been a 7/10. However the final third got pretty much got back on track, even with that I think it could have finished a good few hours earlier. It is almost double the first games length and I never thought that was a short game.

Just bad, bad add on content. Feels like it was knocked together cheaply by the work experience kid by recycling assets from the main game, cutscenes that are just static comic panels with bad voiceovers and absolutely no new ideas in each short threadbare episode. Thankfully I got these as part of a Complete Edition on sale, otherwise I would have felt completely ripped off.

Smashing these Platinums recently. But what a ride that was, and managed to avoid all spoilers by playing it intensively since release, incredible.

Back to Far Cry Primal, which I was massively enjoying so looking forward to getting back on that :)

    @Humperfunk
Well played on the Plat front. I think I have played around 140 games with Trophy support across ps3,4 and vita and have zero platinums. The only game I got the complete sweep of Trophies is SOMA, and amazingly that doesn't come with one!

I probably could have nabbed a few I just can't be arsed!

The run of Platinums is over, only two short but both a very long grind and don't want that to take away from the sheer enjoyment I had from this. Would probably put this as the second best one I've played after 3, really was great!

    Yakuza 4 now me thinks...

My progress on this has been severely hampered by the decision to play Divinity: OS 2. I’m over 100 hours in and I have just about finished the middle section!

Also on the go: HL:Alyx, Observation and XCOM:Chimera Squad. Observation is the best chance of a completion as it’s short...

Take the climbing system from Uncharted, more or less, and build an entire game around it. Then add some unwieldy combat to the mix, and make the whole thing repetitive as hell.

I gave it a higher score than POP 3D, but arguably that's because the latter game was too buggy. If it weren't, it could have been the better game as a serviceable Tomb Raider clone. POP 2008 has worse gameplay, but admittedly is more polished, the fights choreography is spectacular, and the story is a bit more interesting (although the Prince beguiles his rugged looks by being literally Drake, and having the same voice actor doesn't help).

I also thought the ending was well executed, contrary to most people. That's gotta count for something. Still, it's a bit of a poster child about the issues with the Xbox 360 generation - always on rails, always doing QTEs.

Last game on my list is Prince of Persia for the DS, and then I can call it quits on the series (no interest in the other ones, I feel that I've played enough of these).

I have to say, as I often have on EG over the years, but that Prince of Persia game is not only by far my favourite in the series, but actually one of my favourite games of all time. The atmosphere and music just really clicked with me, have completed it multiple times :)

Got a month of Origin Basic for 99p so seemed like the time to finish this off (as I failed in my free month last year). It looks pretty on PC and suits 21:9 (bit is a CPU hog with my aging 4790K). I didn't mind the story and combat (although certain bosses on each planet were a little tiresome and time consuming but the final encounter was pretty well done and not a slog). Enjoyed a fair few of the characters and played with a female Ryder (and romanced the Turian). However, and this is a common issue of mine in modern games, I hate the amount of loot with a limited inventory and just tried to ignore it as much as possible. Also autolevelled (ie. The game picks my upgrade paths but I still need to earn the XP) my characters. The environments were reasonably varied and other than a few verticality issues mostly enjoyed exploring them. The galaxy exploration was painless too and I should have got 100% in that. Got 32/55 trophies (600 Origin Points) and AFAIK did every major quest (skipped a few find multiple items ones). Played about 90 hours (but some dead time in there with game paused)

Will play through a few more EA games this month, mostly shorter ones. Also ablut halfway through (estimate) Trails in the Sky 3rd but that can have a month break. As ever, way behind schedule on the 52 games.

And played through in one sitting getting all 8 trophies (and feeling a little guilty that I played it on Origin Basic and didnt buy it and I cannot even buy their next game, Devotion because of Winnie the Pooh...).

As for the game it took around 3 hours and I got the true ending first time then went back a save for the other. Atmospheric horror puzzle/adventure game set in 196o's Taiwan during the White Terror. The game uses its setting really well and tells an interesting but dark story . Gameplay is pretty simple using the mouse to click where you want to go or on objects and use the right button to hold your breath to avoid spirits. (console versions support a controller but not the original PC release). Graphics and sound are very atmospheric with a mix of aesthetics and the game lacks speech. It is an unfamilair setting for most (including me) which adds to the interest of the story for me. Puzzles are all pretty logical with only one that I had to trial and error a little (but I may have missed a clue) and the gamey creature avoiding isn't too challenging (and you get a fair save/checkpoint system)

If you want an interesting indie East Asian horror game this is well worth a look.

Bosh, another one down. Got most of the trophies but the Platinum had some luck based ones so fuck that. Enjoyed it overall though.

Four more completions and I've beaten my best ever year since I first started doing this in 2015...and I've got so many massive JRPGs in the above list that I actually think I could have hit 52 by now! Love me a lockdown.

No idea what to play next, got the new Modern Warfare so might do that but might hammer out a few shorter games now before Ghost of Tsushima.
