    Alien Isolation credits rolled.

Enjoyed this more than I expected given that I am such a WUSS. They got the essence of the first film bang on, perhaps a little too slavishly copied, but who can blame them when you have possibly the world's greatest film to go by.

Much has been said about how this game felt too long, but oddly I found it became more and more compelling and exciting as it progressed. The first five-six chapters I could only cope with in short bursts but I couldn't play anything else beyond that.

One criticism is that the last half of the final chapter aboard the Station was far more linear and scripted than the rest of the game, where instead it should have been a case of utilising all your skills in a complex final arena. The final encounter also was a bit of a damp squib but hey ho. I will dabble with the dlc that was included now, but I think this can come off now.
    4.5/5

Thatís Luigiís Mansion 3 complete. All gems found, all Booís captured. I didnít see any Rare ghosts though. But credits have rolled.

Quite a good entry in the series, but the controls are awful. Looks lovely but I doubt that Iíd be inclined for another play through.

I very nearly bought Grid last night with some of the remaining eshop credit I have. Managed to regain control of myself. I'll wait until I've achieved something productive, like passing my driving test at the end of the month.

PS4 Pro, and it looked fantastic. I gather the previous generation versions didn't have the Alien A.I. that this generation had.

Iím going to add Wolfenstein 2 to my list too. Think dead cells will be a more of a pick up and play game. Wolfenstein should sustain me for a while as my main game.

Was thinking about getting it on Switch. Though I could play it for free on Xbox gamepass.

    So I'm currently:
    1) RE: Revelations
    2) Wolfenstein 2
    3) -

Merci bon bon Simon le Bon

Wasnít aware that had been a problem, but if thatís true it sounds like the last gen version of Shadow of Mordor which basically skipped the nemesis system. Totally pointless.

Not sure about that tbh. I played through the whole thing on PS3 and again on PS4 and there was no notable change to the xeno's behaviour. Both plays were on hard.

Then again I'm a bit dense so probably wouldn't have noticed if one version had it gyrating on the floor and dribbling and the other had it doing sudokos and singing the alphabet backwards.

I honestly can't remember where I heard the old generation versions didn't have the complex Alien A.I., I could be talking about load of shit to be honest.

@Samildanach Perhaps confusing it with Colonial Marines that had broken AI? Amazingly it was a typo that destroyed the AI and an avid fan fixed the issue for pc players a few years later, completely changing the game.

@DangerousDave_87 oh yeah. Wasn't it just a single letter or number missing from a line of code? How it could have been missed considering it affects the main enemy of the game is crazy.

General question, based on your lists are you focusing on one game at a time, or switching between the 5 as and when?

There are only 3 games this year not 5.

My gaming pattern has generally been, play a few hours of DOS2, buy and complete a short indie, play a few hours of DOS2, buy and complete a short indie...

Messed it up a bit by buying Resi 2. But will likely play through Leonís campaign and then return to DOS2 for a bit before doing Claireís campaign.

Once I finally finish DOS2 I will then but another sizeable game. Possibly Cyberpunk 2077.

    🎯 Control

Loved it. Would possibly have been my game of the year if I'd played it last year.

😁 DOS2 is a looooooooong game, but a good one! I played it during the 10 game challenge in 2018 and had started it in early August as PS store pre-orders gave early access. I think it consumed about 3 months of my gaming time to complete!

Resi 2 remake you'll have no problems with Paz, the first playthrough will be your longest and the second will cut that time in half or more even for a 'B' run. I think I finished in approx. 6ish hours on my second run.

Enjoying dead cells immensely. Think I got a grip on it. Last few runs I beat the concigere and just having a good old fun time. On a run at the moment where I picked up a colourless fire breath attack. Concigere went down in seconds :D

So the blue prints I collect, do they unlock stuff that I can pick up on runs? And do the starter weapons change if I unlock them (guessing not since there is a random starter modification)

Finally installed Star Wars Fallen Order, and I've only done a bit of the train, but it's definitely got its hooks into me.

Reminded me of Uncharted 2's opening, which is probably one of the best intros (and games, fight me) ever.

@JoelStinty I won't give too much away, but the blueprints are for a particular character between stages. You have to spend souls in order to craft and unlock those weapons/ abilities.

I am being very slow on Resi 2. Probably 2-3 hours in and just had a helicopter explode..

As for DOS2 I am on the 3rd Island.
