I'm out, guys. Going to regretfully withdraw.

I would have been on a solo week abroad right now, with my Switch; had been planning to get through at least one of the 3 Switch games I'm on at the mo. But now for obvious reasons I'm cooped up at home. I have a few PC games I want to play and don't fancy grinding out the Switch games first - want to still make the most of this week off, as far as possible!

It's been a pleasure, and I will continue in the spirit of the challenge over the rest of the year. Good luck to you all.

Yeah, I havenít failed yet but I can see Coronavirus bringing an early end to mine too. Itís all just depressing the shit out of me at the moment. There are some good eshop sales doing the rounds (somewhere in the region of 18-20 games on my wish list are on offer), so I may end up diving in (then regretting it no doubt). Animal Crossing tomorrow too...

Just noticed you have me on the list of dropouts. Not fair! I declined to take part!

Here's the thing though. I had 5 games on my list at the end of the 2019 challenge, and I have since completed 2 of them. I'm probably going to tackle one of the others next. I've only given up on one as a bad job. I have also played two big games through to completion (RDR2 and Hollow Knight).

I might not have had staying power to not buy things again this year, but this thread has changed my habits for the better.

Think Iíll be bowing out too. Working from home for the considerable and that will necessarily involve massive amounts of gaming broken into brief periods. Damn you pandemic and Boris.

Still not going to buy any games though.

Looks like the COVID-19 is going to lead to the extinction of PigWhip 2020!

Best stock up on tons of games before the apocalyps.

Given that the virus can live outside if the body and the cleanliness of many gamers I really would not be buying physical games right now.

By all means knock yourself out with a Steam sale but stay away from GAME.

Add me to the list of fails. Bought an old copy of Smackdown off eBay. Game over.

So far COVID-19 I have even less time than normal for games.
Working from home the whole week is actually exhausting and my boys (12 and 15) are home from school and need guidance (because their school is providing them homework but no real lessons). So now I'm a part-time math teacher as well... (which I don't mind actually)

My relationship woes have come close to pushing me over the edge, but I've not been capable of playing much these past few weeks anyway. Got Animal Crossing ready to go, but I haven't touched it.

I guess I'm still in this challenge for now.

I'm teetering over starting Bloodborne from my backlog and that would be it for me as I have three slots filled already. I was foolish enough to buy Assassin's Creed Unity despite having no intention of playing two big, repetitive, grindy open world-like games at the same time (Dragon Age Inquisition being the other).
I couldn't keep my itchy eBay trigger finger in check!

@Samildanach AC Unity is actually not that grindy. The trick is not to get (too) distracted by the sidequests and icon-hoovering. I found the story to be pretty entertaining (but I'm easily entertained :)).
Some of the sidequests are fun though (like the murder mysteries).

Just folded and bought Doom. I'm out as well. Third time in a row I've failed one of these challenges. Don't think I'll enter again. I don't have enough time to complete the games I start before a different one comes along I want to play. Bugger. I had such good intentions as well...

    @Red_Bool
That's handy to know. The seafaring AssCreeds seemed to get bogged down in too much flim-flam. Makes you wonder why I bought the next game really.

What a disgrace. So much failing going on.
For the Pigwhippers still in but ready to crumble, expect no mercy from me despite being cooped up in your isolated duck houses.
What, a massive gaming buying splurge is what you deserve? What you NEED?
    WRONG!
You need the rigidity of purpose. The mental fortitude of restraint.
Cave now and anarchy reigns. Hold the line and you show that humankind can endure!
    Fail....and the ducks are waiting.
    Waiting for our turn...

To be fair i had two slots free for nioh and doom. I just foolishly decided to try dead cells in gamepass the week before. Which was silly. And my downfall.

Quite right Duckhead. After a week feeling down about things I'm feeling more positive today. There were a ton of things I wanted to get done this year that I haven't gotten round to yet and I've been gifted more time to get on with them. Splurging on more games is not going to help.

    I'm still in.

Please add Animal Crossing to my list. With Resi 3 next week and then Final Fantasy VII the week later I'm not long for this thread.

Please add Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers to my list.
You can abbreviate the title a bit if you like.

Mutant year zero got less and less fun towards the end. Think it needed more weapons or more skills or just 'something'. Consider the turn based itch, scratched

Now that I've completed all the milestones on skylines, watching a city grow is less fun. I'll come back to it later but for now, i've gone back to ass creed oranges from my backlog.

It's only taken around 20 hours over a few months of sporadic play before it finally hooked me. The setting great so I'll run through this now.

In a fit of 'moooaar' madness I picked up ass creed oddysey last night for £14. This could be my undoing

If you're looking for turn based options, hard west is scruffy but fun, I'm making slow but steady progress and rather enjoying it. It was ridiculously cheap in the Switch sale recently so likely to be discounted again.

I was thinking about Langriser 1&2. Although I really should just play XCom 2 on the PS4.

    So, I'm bowing out.

I'm Playing Nioh 2, I'll be playing it forever...but during this lockdown I'm gonna buy games on sale and that's that.

    Cheers all!

Ass creed oranges is huge. Some of the sides quests are sizeable too, so much so I forget it's not a main quest I'm doing.

These phylakes are something else especially that horn when near.
