    Yes. It's a health aid. :D

Not the best post to start a new page...

Best of luck in 2020 folks. The Duckbreaker is really breaking me this week, I'm faced with two inherited games on both of which I'm stuck on massive difficulty spike boss battles.

What really brings me down with that sort of thing these days is having to trudge back to the boss for another crack at them. I'll target Fear Effect first since I can use an emulator save state for the start of the battle and eventually triumph.

@Cappy You can always take the nuclear option and star 2020 with a clean state. Plenty of people have gone down that route already. Also, depending on how much time you've spent on those games, you may already be able to legitimately say you've done enough. They don't have to be literally finished to come off the list, if you've given them a proper good go.

    First purchase of 2020.

    1. Aqua Kitty UDX

A side scrolling shooter with 3 different modes and an infinite mode. Good simple fun and a nice price (£2.50ish).

I'll have to add Control and GoW to mine, time to get started. Though I also plan on finishing RDR2 and Nier this year too...

Edit: only 3 at a time this time, hmm, drop Nier then as I haven't even unwrapped it yet.

    So my 3 are:

    1/ RDR2 (carry over)
    2/ Control
    3/ GoW

Thanks Mr. P I'll keep that in mind. I'll give it my best try before I give up on anything.

    The game is on!

I saw Final Fantasy X Remastered off a couple of days ago, so my slots are:

    1) Alien Isolation
    2) Dragon Age Inquisition

And I plan to buy the awesome looking Gunlord X tonight for a bit of simple shooting fun when the terror of Alien or the vastness of Dragon Age are too much for a tired brain!

    3) Gunlord X

I can see myself getting royally fucked when a forgotten pre-order suddenly turns up on my doorstep later in the year.

Kind of made an error putting Ghost Recon Breakpoint as one of my 3. It's buggy as shit and I should of waited for further patches. Don't want to rock the boat and swap it though. I'd rather clear DQ and Resi 7 first so by the time they are done it may be sorted.

I wouldn’t worry. You’ll crash and burn long before it becomes an issue. ;-)

Ooof, 3 slots!? Ye gods. The cruelty.

But needs must, and man do I need to improve. And I quite like the idea of having to focus on only a few games at a time. Challenge accepted.

Could go the whole year from the backlog alone; might try to play at least 2 backlog games for every new game. But what to choose? Not sure it would be sensible to commit 100+ hours to finish DQXI just yet... let's say:

    1) Modern Warfare (PC)
    2) Control (PC)
    3) Astral Chain (Switch)

I need to finish off a Total Warhammer 2 campaign too, but I've done that game to death already, so I take it that counts as one I've 'completed' and it doesn't need to take a slot.

Mario Rabbids is completed. I have bought Flashback and What to do about Edith Finch.

On the last game of the Phoenix Wright Trilogy. I absolutely love it.

    Yeah my list should be

    Lego Harry potter
    Starlink
    Witcher 3

The first two won't get a look in for a while. Witcher is amazing. To my aged eyes, it looks really good too.

Sorry dudes - I am all the way out this time. After being good all last year, I have just had a splurge in the sales that resulted in 7 games all told (though 2 of those were free). I'm not even sorry.

Have a good 2020 challenge everyone - I am going to make more of an effort to finish stuff again this year, but I needed to cut loose a bit.

I'm up for this but a clean slate is definitely needed so I'd like my list from 2019 to be banished please and replaced with Death Stranding.

I'm going to consider what to do with the other two slots. I've got a shit load of half finished games from 2019 that have been filed as backlog and the first half of this year is stocked with games that I consider as must haves.

Could I request a change to my list please? God of War is on my backlog and whilst I'll likely go back to it, i'm currently playing (and loving) the Banner Saga.

    1) Banner Saga
    2) The Surge
    3) Hard West

    I'm up to 3 games already :D

    1. Aqua Kitty UDX (Switch) £2.59

A pleasing mixture of Defender, Gradius and Uridium. I reckon I'll get 4 or 5 hours out of it before it becomes repetitive. I like Dreadnought mode which mixes things up by making you attack and destroy ships and guns in Uridium style gameplay. It starts out easy but soon becomes challenging. I've already gotten a few of the achievements and will try to get a few more.

    2. Will: A Wonderful World (Switch) £8.21

I started this about 10 days ago. It's a puzzle based visual novel of sorts, thankfully very low on fan service elements. You have to rearrange portions of opposing stories to find the best way forward. I don't think the outcomes always make sense but the butterfly effect of outcomes being different based on your choices is interesting. It always forces you to get S rank endings which irritates at times. Some of the themes and issues are suprisingly dark (child abuse, human trafficking, gang warfare) for what I assumed would be a light and breezy game. I'm probably about a quarter to a third of the way through.

    3. Star Wars Pinball (Switch) £18.08

I went for the 33% off sale offer. I love Zen Pinball so more pinball tables is always a good thing. I'm not even much of a Star Wars fan. Completing the campaign should be enough to chalk this off as completed.

Not very magical, ducksauce. STS is still on my list.

How many people have been BORGd into the duck to update this challenge?

Hmmm, signed up already, am I? This is likely to be a spectacular fail then, as I take ages to finish games sometimes. I'm playing more of The Crew 2 than anything else at the moment, even though I've done everything in it at least twice.

Seeing as I'm here, will or nill, I'd like to request that the following 3 games be in my current slots (as the other 2 from last year are never going to get finished - so it's either this or an instant fail):
    Forza Horizon 4
    Test Drive Unlimited
    NFS Heat

Fallen Order can come off now. That was suprisingly short. Fun! But short.

Can I make use of the clean slate option to remove Lumines from my list? It's been on my 2019 list the whole year and I think it can come off now. The rest of my list still stands. Thanks!

There is not much to it if you just do the story.

    Edit: Fallen Order that is.

Yeah I'm not about going around and finding every single little secret or etc. Seeing as most of the time it's health/force boosts, and I coasted the game on JM, I don't see the need.

    It was fun though.

You are much better at games than me. I struggled with a few of the bosses on Jedi Master.
