Registered 15 years agoI've been enjoying the TDU coverage on YouTube, via GCN – not just highlights, but [replayable] live streams. Phil, Robbie, and Jens on comms. Been a good race too!

Registered 14 years agoYeah, it’s been well done. I think there was a deal with Eurosport and GCN and you can tell there’s a bit more money about. It hilarious how little McEwan and Voigt agree on stuff, though they always keep it amicable. -

Registered 15 years agoDeceuninck-QuickStep continuing as they left off. After a middling Tour Down Under, Sam Bennett has added the Torquay Race and if he can pick up the Cadel Evans race too, it's an excellent start for him. Morkov is a monster and deserve most of the praise for the wins/podiums.
Evenepoel got a bit lucky with the jury in the 1st stage at the Vuelta a San Juan. Got caught in a crash 3.5km from home caused by a spectator but given the same time as the winner. And then crushed the TT. Overall win in the cards there too.

Registered 15 years agoHave we seen pro-triathlete Cam Wurf has joined Ineos as a super-domestique? Did a decent job in the Cadel Evans race!
Cyclocross world champs are on Red Bull TV (https://www.redbull.com/int-en/events/uci-cyclocross-world-championships-switzerland/live/uci-cyclocross-world-championship-men) and the BBC. Tom Pidcock currently in second; MvdP up front. -

The Spanish bits might. They claim they are sending the international stuff to WADA. Hopefully.

A few years back, I was shitting up the cycling thread with drug stuff so a thread was created to keep some hopes and dreams alive in the racing threads. Dunno if that's still how people would like it.
Here's the link anyway:

Registered 14 years agoThat is an incredible result for Pidcock, basically a win given MvdP was always going to be in full hulk smash mode. Bright future there *
*if we can just assassinate vdP. -

Registered 14 years agoThat was great. Bloody 20. It’s crazy he’s got the endurance to dig in at the end there after so few years cycling. He interviews like he’s 10 years older too.
Maybe I’m just hankering after the road season starting, but I’m really enjoying the Tour of the Algarve, it seems the teams and riders have taken it more seriously than Eurosport were expecting- it’s just highlights at odd hours so far rather than the full coverage it’s turning out it deserves. -

Registered 17 years agoMy colleague was just mentioning they're likely to cancel Milan-San Remo, so I assume that's Strade Bianche out as well. We'll have to wait and see how it goes by the time the Giro comes around. It's still a few months away. -

Anybody spotted any Eurosport player deals? Mine's set to renew Monday, and pretty sure I missed out on getting it for less than £39.99 last year…
