    Not me!

This time trial (and race) is building to a neat climax…

    I'm looking forward to Worlds.

    Fucking wow.

He did that borrowing the draft from other teams as well because his own wasn’t quite good enough, amazing.

I wonder if Rog hid slightly behind the awesome Van Aert, Dumoulin and Kuss train all tour, and got found out a bit when it was a solo effort?

I think he just had a bad day. Although there is the general feeling that he is more likely to have them in week 3 of a GT than some of his rivals.

    Unreal from Pogacar though.

Thing is... you couldn't even really call it a particularly bad day. Pogacar's ride was insane.

I think he had a bad day, but also his true form was hidden slightly by the incredible train that pulled him along. He got exposed a bit when riding solo whereas Pog had been fighting solo pretty much the whole tour. The worthy winner for me.

The first time Wout surprised everyone uphill, even Dumoulin seemed to struggle.

JV then seemed to switch from 'we have 2 GC contenders' to 'all in on Roglic'.

If they had kept Dumoulin in play, Pogacar didn't have the team to fight of attacks from or chase breakaways with 1 of 2 GC contenders.

Of course, the lead must've seemed cushy enough to risk it.

    Exciting stuff.

Read an interesting little angle on being a third place finisher and how it can feel sweeter than second. Second feels like you just missed out on winning and have maybe failed in some way whereas third feels like you just grabbed a medal and managed to avoid the dreaded fourth place.
