World Champ TTs were fun… Hope Chloe Dygert heals fast, because that was a nasty injury she suffered from – similar to what scuppered WvA. Ganna OMG |

Registered 11 years agoDon't google the uncensored picture of her knee after the crash. Horrific.
Here in Sweden the world champ are on the public service channels. Otherwise almost all cycling (grand tours etc) are shown on eurosport and they have a pair of commentators that are so freaking good that everybody else suck in comparison - and what a difference good commentators can do! -

Registered 15 years agoReally enjoyed that TT, felt like a bit of a changing of the guard though. Dowsett is destined to always be the bridesmaid, isn’t he.
Can’t work the Dygert thing out- it looked like she misread the corner, carried too much speed and then twatted up the breaking, using mostly front, but she could also have just flatted? The injury definitely had shades of Van Aert, but I think, despite the blood, it was less worse. Looks like she badly tore the skin, rather than cut deep into muscle like WvA. -

Registered 16 years agoIneos made some interesting signings for next year:
- Laurens de Plus (Jumbo Visma)
- Dani Martinez (EF)
- Richie Porte (TS)
- Tom Pidcock (Trinity)
Are they going to let Tom keep cyclocrossing? -

Registered 17 years agoStrange to think we're about to get a month of spring classics.
At least it won't be a dry and dusty Roubaix. Should be interesting. -

Hoping for much:

In other news, Fleche Wallonne today won by Hirshci, never heard of this chap before the tour and now he's unstoppable. -

Thomas’ support for the Giro looks good: with the three TTs he should be OK, if they make the three weeks weather-wise, not corona -

Registered 15 years agoTT cancelled in BinckBank apparently, they’re going to put some stages together for later in the week. I should grow up, that tour always sounds so silly- it’s like the PlinkyPlonk tour.
The year’s a bloody mess, but I’m still glad to be able to watch whatever’s available tbf. -

Relegated to 5th and rightly so.
He did give an interview after saying he'd seen the TV images and hadn't realised he nearly made Hirschi crash and apologised, calling it 'his first mistake', second being his premature victory gesture.
He fully agreed on being relegated to 5th and apologised again. He also reckoned it was the first time in his career he celebrated too early and he was going to make sure it was the last time..gif)
Fair play.
In other news, the EF duck outfits in the GIRO were met with a 500CHF fine per rider by the UCI.
