    Tao's Scottish?
A “London-born Scot” according to Will Fotheringham 😛

To be fair that’s how I consider myself as well, born in London to a Scottish family. Still cheer for england in the rugby though because I’m a glory hunting ponce

I want see what happened in the Vuelta now. After I turned over there were some big big gaps as they crossed the finish.

Surely when said with an accent, that sounds more like you'd like to see his thigh(s)! 😃

I'm happy to see Cav was thrown a lifeline by Quickstep.
To see a guy of his calibre almost disappear anonymously, without a send-off or any sort of recognition for his achievements was tough.

    He’s been signed?
I’m not sure what role he fulfils to be honest- he’s not sharp enough to win anymore a a bit small to be an effective lead out man.

    Yup:
    https://twitter.com/deceuninck_qst/status/1335152761739022336

I think they just didn't want him to leave processional cycling like this:
https://twitter.com/spannawalker/status/1315319927755202560 and decided to throw him a lifeline. He was with Quickstep for a few years and they maintained a good relationship. I doubt they expect him to win any more tour stages for them.

Lefèvre has been quite open about struggling with sponsors and budget despite being one of the top performing teams. So I wouldn't be surprised Cav is on some minimum wage contract for the one year.

They made some noise about their younger riders benefitting from Cav's years of experience. I think they'll mostly use him to make up numbers, do some grunt work and then towards the end of the 2021 calendar arrange a proper sending-off befitting an ex WC with such an impressive victory list.

Correction, Cav found someone to pay his contract.
    DQS isn't paying a dime. :-)

God, cycling funding is such a mess. Fair play though, be good to give him a better send off.

He’s worked with some proper dodgy riders and I’m sure he’s just as crooked, but I do have a soft spot for Lefevere

Yeah, that's a nice one. Also nice to see that there's more to come from him after a slight plateau (which I accept is a semi-ludicrous thing to say at this point of his career). Any idea what happens to Trinity Racing after Tom goes to Ineos?

Pidcock, WvA, and MvdP battling it out right now.

Fucking awesome race that. Was hoping Pidcock could hang on, but digging in and going into the red like that is the sort of finish that won him Amstel.

Trinity Racing continues into 2021 with some new signings. Some talent is there but nothing like Pidcock. Worth keeping an eye on as a development team.

I don't count that Santos "Festival of Cycling" thing they've had down under, but was today the first day of pro cycling? I saw the end of the GP de Marseille after the CX world champs: new kits and team abbreviations to get used to…

The fucking POWAH they were laying down in that sand, then the amazing shots of vdP and Van Aert powering through the sea, what a day.
