So far, the internet has led me to believe that the virus is a biological weapon, it's going to kill at least 100 million people and that there's satellite imagery of large burning pits of bodies in Wuhan.

Is it time to stock up on tins of sausage and beans yet?

The time for that has long passed, if you go to a supermarket now or receive goods from one you are probably going to die. If you have a cat you had better eat that instead.

Sausage and beans would be a luxury in any such scenario. You'd be carving flesh off your own BBQ'd thigh and salivating at the prospect.

They don't even know how this corona varient is spreading yet. But it is probably airborne
There was a virus specialist on the two days ago saying that it wasn't airborne. That you have to stay out into your lungs to catch it, but that the virus sticks to big saliva droplets that fall to the ground.

Don't inhale someone else's coughs and don't stock your fingers in your mouth and you'll be fine.

But this was two days ago, in Sweden so things might have changed.

We have actually stocked up a small load of non perishable goods. Last year leading up to a couple of days of storms the shops got cleared out by panic buying, fuck knows what will happen if the coronavirus gets to Ireland.

I'm genuinely starting to do this. Tinned foods, pasta, rice, flour etc. Whilst it's now too far away, I'm also planning on growing vegetables from March onwards (purely as a hobby, but it has an obvious benefit, too.)
Think how quickly shops are stripped bare of food after only a light sprinkling of snow. If this virus REALLY kicks off I'm sure hunger will actually cause as many problems as the virus will itself.

Apparently it's rocked up at Worthing Hospital now, it's the most excitement we've had in this town since noshgate last year.

I live in the middle of nowhere and occasionally it can get cut off from the outside world through floods or bad weather. Power gets shut off easily as well, so I keep a few weeks stocks of tinned and dry food in the cupboards. Every year I take anything that's due to go out of date that year to the local foodbank and that makes a heft parcel.

I went to a big fighting game event over the weekend in Paris, and have come back feeling like death.

ETA till I start googling Coronavirus symptoms.

I think it's only spread by human contact isn't it? You were probably in the safest place in the world.

Too late, you already all have it due to the tube. Get those goodbyes said as you don't have long.

Going to Iceland in a week. Played enough Plague Inc to know that's the key to ending the human race.

Is it wrong to hope quite a lot of people die?

    I think we're due a cull.

The superspreader travelled through there so it's a matter of time.

Funny the people who say that always hope they aren't included.

Basement dwellers are probably the safest.
