I think we should put London into lockdown. We could :

    a) Ban internet based taxi apps to prevent people congregating.

    b) Demand money for vehicles to access certain places.

    c) Charge obscene prices on public transport and incorporate a passcard thingy to prevent people leaving the house.

"Diagnosis has now been revised after understanding of the virus", which has lead to a jump in figures:
For today alone, Hubei province is now showing 14,840 for todays new cases (Including 13,332 clinical diagnosed pneumonia).

    242 deaths.

Thats now an overall total of 60k cases so far.

It's a bit confusing because now we don't know if they just added all the previous month's pneumonia diagnosis into one day, or if tomorrow will have similar numbers. And we don't know if the numbers are still increasing or decreasing. If you ignore the pneumonia ones then there is a decrease in the number of coronavirus illnesses.

There is a massive lack of knowledge. So the "real" figures are almost impossible to determine.

For example, in a city the size of Wuhan, you would expect 200 odd people a day to die even without the presence of the coronavirus.

For the death rate, we have no idea how many people are not reporting because they have mild symptoms.

Is it wrong to hope quite a lot of people die?

    I think we're due a cull.
Funny the people who say that always hope they aren't included.
Nah. If my number's up so be it.

A 80 year old lady has died in Japan and a taxi driver has been diagnosed too. Aside from working in Retail I canít imagine a worse profession to have if you are diagnosed.

Seems a surgeon and a 20 year old male have contracted it too

Apparently the person with the confirmed case in London ignored all advice and took an uber to A&E.

I went to a big fighting game event over the weekend in Paris, and have come back feeling like death.

ETA till I start googling Coronavirus symptoms.
How far did you get? or did you spectate?
I may as well have spectated. Ill, tired from people in our Airbnb not stopping talking all night, and I had the death pool with some of the strongest competitors. Went 1-2. Big yikes.

Spectated all weekend though which was great. Except for the ill people. God damn.

I thought they were from China.

If so it's more likely they didn't hear or understand the advice.

I assumed it was a British woman returning from China by the way it was worded in the few News articles I read. None of those actually stated the personís nationality though.

People are just disgusting rotten cunts who don't give a fuck.

I have tried to avoid public transport here since the virus came here, but went on it last weekend. Was going to top up my transit card and the card machines was absolutely covered in someone's snot. Fuck that.

    @PazJohnMitch

    Chinese national apparently.

I've travelled a lot on business in the past and half the time there could have been a literal civil war going on around me and I wouldn't have had a clue because you don't watch the local news if you don't understand the language.

You would hope that as the planes come in it wouldn't be too much to hand each passenger a multi lingual leaflet with what to do and contact details in case they think they have it.

Whether that is being done or not I have no clue.

They said he wasnít at risk because the journey was less than 15 minutes, but fuck knows how that works. Uber banned his account apparently.

Thatís him with no money for two weeks. Thatís the problem, there are so many people on zero hours contracts or who are self employed that arenít going to be able to take time off. If you were a driver and you knew youíd had someone with it in the back youíre just going to cross your fingers and keep on trucking.
