I also love the constant mentioning of Brexit into every second sentence. Like that's a projection of everyone else's virtues rather than his own.

@David_Richardson Very well said. I'm amazed at how quickly these discussions become politicised.

Also baffled by the constant doom-mongering/negativity on here. Some weird indulging of the situation. Surely that energy should be spent outside volunteering at vaccination clinics or something.
The indulgence for the worst possible case scenario is not that weird when you think about it.

For better or for worse the Brexit battle is lost so Covid has become the next best thing for laying the boot into "the plebs". You see it on here, on Twitter and on news sites everyday. It's so obvious that's it's become embarrassing. Covid has become a boon for these tossers and their ongoing crusade against what they see as the lower
classes who they absolutely believe to be the root cause for all of the UK's ills.

Question is, once Covid has become less relevant I wonder what they'll turn to next as their virtual beating stick?
And you lads make sure you keep coming back to the forum and this thread to ensure whatever you want to imagine is going on is still making you rage on a daily basis - spending time listening to all these tossers must be a great use of your time.

"The other side" of scientific consensus. The nature of this situation being so immediate means they might be proved wrong but its still free wheeling with risk to take the position that this is a genuine argument on the other side.

Dear PickledShotgun, you canít come in here, throw a few nonsensical comments around and then fuck off. If youíre gonna be a thread clown, you need to commit and regularly engage with the rest of these balloons. Iím happy to provide further guidance if necessary.

I think I predicted this a few pages ago but the lecturers union is kicking off about unvaccinated freshers and plague spreading undergrads turning universities into variant factories in September

Think somebody was asking about Pfizer scheduling.

NHS data showing 8 weeks as a sweet spot.

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jul/23/pfizer-vaccine-second-dose-has-sweet-spot-after-eight-weeks-uk-scientists-say

Fuck yeah! I was 8 weeks.

7 day average had dropped for the first time in weeks.

No one knows I guess. But I expect it to start rising again as the effect of freedumb day become apparent. This could just of been a Euro 2021 spike.

Amazing analysis, very detailed and well sourced. I'm guessing it's dropped very slightly due to yesterday's numbers being lower...but 6 of the last 7 days we've had more cases than the week before.

Although even though the 7 day average has dropped, week on week it's still showing a 25% increase.

Hopefully if we have a solid week of lower numbers we can start to be hopeful we have hit the peak. One single day of lower cases isn't enough of a sign at this point.

Been some talks of reintroducing working from home and mask mandates

    https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/news/england-could-reintroduce-covid-curbs-in-just-three-weeks-sage-warns-282353/

Given that a not-insignificant number of businesses haven't gone back into the office, and even more are being flexible, and given that many are still wearing masks in shops... All I can think is "that isn't a big deal at all"
