Shall I see if I can trigger him again? I got him weirdly poetic the other night - like haiku or something, only semi-literate. Was quite funny.

You learn something every day, I haven't savoured the joys of a Pizza crunch yet.

In NAPLES they deep fry pizzas too and we all know how good their pizzas are.
Isn't that called a Panzerotti? My parents used to make them, I was convinced if they started selling them in London they'd make a fortune!

    Dear Nestle,

Please may you clarify, to me, the provenance, as well as the varietal, of the lycopersicum(aka tomato to the layman) utilised in the ragu found in each of your “Peperoni Hot Pockets”.

    Sincerely Yours,

    L’Ours d’Armure

They're now owned by Birdseye, use a different recipe and called something else.

    So no.

My gran always used to do me the Bolognese ones. Ugh, just the thought of them turns my stomach.

Pop tarts, tho... now those I will never get tired of eating.

The amount of preservatives, sugars and additives I ate as a child of the 70’s. It makes my genes hurt.

The filling to crust ratio of pop tarts is an abomination.

I was given the minced beef ones as a kid, apparently they were binned last year and reintroduced with a new mozzarella and ham recipe .
    I imagine they’re fairly rank.

There was a stall at our local food market that was selling Panzerotti last year - absolutely delicious, and I ended up rather addicted. Thankfully they don't do them any more, as I'd have doubled my middle-aged spread otherwise. They only do arancini these days, which I am not so keen on.

All hail the forum royalty, and panzerotti (I thought he was dead, btw?)

Five guys is utter wank. I could buy 10 maccyd’s Cheeseburgers for the price of one of their shitters.

PS I’ve only visited the one in Croydon.

Five guys is great. It’s not cheap but it’s good and fresh. No fucking about and it tastes like it was actually once a cow.

I will also stick up for five guys.

Also ordering the small is the way forward. The normal/large is pointless as it's just more beef.

The thing about five guys is if you were served the exact same meal for the same price by a guy with a massive beard and a Hawaiian shirt on a pop-up, boutique food stall called Burger Bastards, people would be jizzing in their pants.

I've never actually tried it. I've watched too much porn, as the name always just triggers the image of 5 sweaty guys carrying out a burger bukkake in the back.

I tried these when over there, and really was pretty non-plussed by them tbh.

Give me a regular pizza any day, I don't like calzone either tbh, so I'm probably not the target market. :-)

Re:crispy pancakes, as a teen I used to quite like the mince ones for lunch when off from school, but the filling was often nuclear & I musthave burnt my mouth many times.

Also used to quite like the tins of campbells(?) meatballs in onion gravy on a bed of ready salted crisps..

I was quite the gourmand in the late '80's! ;-)
