It's in radioactive water with a timer. So you're dipping in, checking where to go, getting out, recharging the rad suit with the big game-y rad icon, back in.

No more than the wall grab, sometimes he just won't grab the ledge.

Am I the only one dashing into walls? I've never missed a grab with that.

There's a few jumps when you've already used your dashes, so you have to grab.

For the most part yes. It's not a massive problem.

Yeah, but it doesn't buff them with the exact same visual effect that they previously tutorialised as "there's a buff totem around here".

Re the swimming - yeah, it doesn't stick around long enough to be a problem thankfully. But thank fuck there's so little of it, because it's not good.

Forgot to pick up the key after clearing a slayer gate, does that mean I'll have to clear it again to get it?

@Rum_Monkey Yep, I did the same thing.

How do you forget, seeing as the key is in front of you when you spawn back? C'mon grandads be honest, it's time for the varifocal lenses isn't it?

I wish I could have the excuse of being old. I totally forgot you get a key from it until the mission end and it was missing.

Eh? The key is in the middle of the slayer gate room when you complete it, you literally are standing in right in front of it.

@JamboWayOh Not always or I wouldn't have missed it twice! Once I remembered and went back for it, once I forgot after redoing the level to beat the gate!

I couldn't figure out how to open the slayer gate in mission 2 and then left the level resetting the whole thing.

    Proper grandad I am.

Heh I thought the penultimate boss was laughably easy, I just spanned the shield chain gun repeatedly. I was expecting a second phase or something.

I was using homing rockets. It wasn't so much the boss that was doing me in, it was falling of the edge and my pathetic inability to steady for a head shot on the walking ammo packs. Also I was ready for the last hit TWICE and flew through the boss unable to punch it. Stupid thing.

I found the penultimate boss a lot harder than the final one. Had to end up using sentinel armour because it was draining my will to carry on (mainly because of that bullshit with setting most of the floor on fire, and her regenerating health).

That was my experience - partly because it kept knocking me off the edge. The final boss was a slog, but not too bad.

Doom Eternal: THE FLOOR IS SOME KIND OF LAVA

I found the chaingun was taking her health off so quickly the lava floors weren't really an issue. The headshot health packs were quite easy to mop up on a M+K as well, fuck doing that on a controller though.

Played on controller, even the generous auto aim made shooting those guys a bit difficult. It's very clear for high level this game demands M+K.

I found that with the regular loot head enemies the game was quite forgiving on Xbox, you could be slightly off and it would award you the headshot, but with the ones in the boss arena you had to be spot on, which was tricky to say the least.

I just finished. Died once on the last boss compared to lots on the previous boss. More of a slog but not as difficult as I think someone else said.

Awesome stuff, got over the starting niggles and ended up really loving it, will definitely do another run, but first onto Resi 3!

There was me thinking that people might have been exaggerating a bit when it comes to the marauder but no. He's cheap and annoying as fuck.
I had to turn off the game for a bit as it was getting to stamping on the controller and setting it on fire levels of annoying.

He is marginally less annoying when you have space, but then mix in an Archville and he becomes annoying again. He was always my most satisfying kill :-)

I just don't see how I can keep the requisite amount of space away needed to counter him, which require focusing on him, whilst having to ignore all the other little bastards whittling down my health..I'm a bit stumped.

If you're on the first encounter that probably is the most difficult time you'll have with him because it's an enclosed space. But use the other little bastards for health and ammo, then you can focus on him. The little guys shouldn't be an issue at all really.
