So, strange times, yes. But, it's not the end of the world. I'm sure we can find some reasons to be cheerful.

    - Corona might be the catalyst for real change environmentally and socially.
    - Working from home could become the norm for many people, even once this eventually passes. This in turn would see a reduction in cars on the road and the resultant pollution.
    - Governments and their people might realise how fragile the systems that prop up our civilisations really are and finally acknowledge the true disparity between the haves and the have-nots and how at the mercy of external factors someone's (mis)fortune and status can be.
    - Nature and animal welfare may end up being given more respect, with tighter laws preventing mankind from fucking with the natural balance of things (I can dream).
    - Some people you hate might die, *fingers crossed for my neighbour* (joking, probably).
    - Brexit might never happen at this rate and in theory if there was another vote in two years the results could be very different (yes this is a disturbing pipe dream).
    - In some weird way, much like a forest fire sparking new growth and change, the inevitable destruction of the economy could result in a new, better economy with an emphasis on clean, renewable energy, rather than the fossil fuels of old.
    - The NHS might actually be properly looked after from now on.

I'm sure I had some others, but I can't think of them at the moment. But yeah, it'll be alright in the end. Famous last words.

It's the start of Spring not the start of Winter.

Distancing would be infinitely more depressing in winter

When the new Destiny 2 season was announced, I thought I'd never find the time to grind all the new stuff. What a difference a few days make.

On a serious note, as stressful as a lot of the time isolated can be, itís a good time to focus on your health and make some personal improvements too.

Everything is harder for families with young kids at home but starting and keeping routines is really important. Iíve been stressing about weight gain lately, and losing access to the gyms hasnít helped, so Iíve put myself on a diet - Iím home so I can cook every meal I need to - and make sure that Iím eating and drinking well. Bit of indoor exercise. Not staying up til 2am gaming ďbecause I canĒ. Getting enough sleep.
I dropped more weight last week than I have since Xmas and that achievement has helped quite a lot for my mental health.

This isnít a fun thing to go through but there some things that you can utilize to improve your individual situation a little bit. Make a list of things and see what you can achieve.

Although I did place a large order with Fourpure this morning which will provide me with many beers and a colouring book in a few days. Also all the breweries near me are still open and doing take aways at discounted rates. :D

Not sure working from home is popular with everyone. I had to go into the office on Thursday and shout at my staff because they got bored working from home for 2 days and went back to the office!

I haven't enjoyed it tbh, I just feel like I can't relax in my home. But it is what it is.

We're arranging walks where we are (village area so we make the most of it) and then we've chosen a location to chill out in when we arrive back to have a few beers etc, spaced apart

Cool. Lots of jamming opportunities here too. Bass, electric and acoustic guitar, banjo, penny whistles, piano, harmonica, singing, etc.

    Jolly stuff!

Doesn't matter though does it, music is music, whether it's one of your fancy pants violins or some good old down to earth saucepans :)

Good call on the music. I might get my guitar out again and get back to to (piss poor) standard.

I have been meaning to play the piano more regularly too.
