Getting past the fucking astounding graphics and sound, it's still very much Demon's.

Registered 12 years agoI think in one of the videos the creative director said that their intention was to recreate the game that people remembered.
In all fairness, I don't remember it looking like this. Bluepoint are lunatics - maybe From could buy them to beef up their engine. Although I still think Sony are going to use them to update every 1st party exclusive ever made. -

Registered 11 years agoI can't believe this is a launch game. The quality is just so much higher than anything available for PS4 at launch (with apologies to Resogun). Combined with Astrobot, it really feels like a proper event. I'm so thirsty for more 4K60 games that integrate the haptics.
I definitely agree with those saying that this feels like the Demon's Souls that my 10 years younger self played and was so smitten by. -

Registered 9 years agoFinding 4-1 quite difficult with my low level royal.
This level is actually quite fresh in my mind from my abandoned PS3 playthrough but that character was a different build and higher levelled.
For getting the falchion early do people generally fight or run? Those rolling cunts aren’t easy to get around. -

Registered 15 years agoAny tips for early levelling? I went with Temple Knight and think I will try to do a melee/miracle type build if that is a thing. Am I okay just ploughing a few souls into vitality/endurance in the early stages to stay alive a bit longer? -

You could always use magic.gif)
If you nip over to 5-1 there is a Morningstar near the beginning which is pretty effective against skeletons. Slightly further in there is a blessed mace.
I have my magic upgraded to have two slots, and picked up the Kris (in 2-1?) which increases magic damage. -

I was deep into 2-2 last night, getting more and more nervous and less familiar with everything (I managed to kill 2 red phantoms by running away on a lift, which was fun) so I decided to take your advice. I bugged out, did some exploring / grinding in 4-1 and got myself Evacuate.
I also picked up the Uchi while I was there, a pretty good session all told. I am now fully prepared for some advanced cowardice. I wonder if I can change my name to Sir Robin? -
