Proxy server loop

I moved my PS4 upstairs and, as I usually do, went to connect via the available Lan cable but the PS4 is now asking if I want to use a proxy server and essentially won't allow me to connect to the network. Has anyone else experienced this problem and have any idea of how to resolve? Thanks in advance

I had this for a time with WIFI and, basically, had to set the connection manually.

Try the manual set up, specifying IP, gateway and whatnot.

I didnt do anything to ultimately fix it, a few years later, I changed router and it picked up DHCP settings again.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. It's weird because it's still picking up the WiFi. It's almost like something happened when I moved it upstairs, the WiFi connection was still active but couldn't connect via Lan or through my phone's internet.
