The next AssCreed has been revealed, and as rumours have been pointing at, it's gonna be Vikings. The setting was officially unveiled with an eight-hour (yes, really) concept art livestream which, when completed, left us with this piece. Please note the trendy blue and orange composition.

There's going to be a cinematic trailer tomorrow afternoon, at 15:45.

I hope the character animation is better than Odyssey. Origins was solid but Odyssey felt proper jank.

I still need to play Odyssey. Played through Oranges early this year and loved it.

Actually I might start the Oranges DLC tonight.

Promising setting. Not played one of these games for a while now.

Can't say I'm particularly excited by the setting. Meh.

I'm very excited, I love Norse mythology and vikings so it's a winner for me.

I also preferred Odyssey to Origins.

The rumours that have been swirling for a fair while suggest that it'll be set across parts of both Scandinavia and Britain and Ireland, and that it might lead up to the Battle of Stamford Bridge.

Loved Odyssey so definitely up for vikings now. Glad the Ass Creed games are going for these more interesting settings.

I'm playing Odyssey now on the back of 47 hours in origins. At 63 hours in, I'm loving it more than origins and my only complaint is poor Kass runs like she's trying to hold a shit in

So it's going to be bloody massive again..I'd rather it was more detailed and smaller.

Actually the bridge in Stamford was actually a lot smaller than people think, more like a foot bridge really...

    ;)

Well the Battle of Stamford Probably Just Some Rocks Across a Shallow Part of the River doesn't really have the same ring to it, tbh.

Honestly, the AC games always get me looking stuff up and learning a bit more about things I only had a surface-level knowledge of.

I should probably give that educational mode in Origins a look at some point, actually.

I really loved Origins and thought it was a terrific return to form for one of my favourite of the AAA type of games. Played Odyssey for quite a while but found it really boring in the end and never finished it. Way too much sailing to samey islands with very similar things happening on each of them.

Look forward to the reveal today. I'm still ploughing Kassandra off and on...I mean Odyssey. I have moaned on here for months about it be too bloated, I say that as a huge fan of AC. Origins was perfect.

Hopefully this one will not be as grindy...who am I kidding.

I have to say I'm more excited for WD3, but both games are day 1 for me.

@DUFFMAN5 Yea WD3 and AC:V are day one as well. WD3 - as an ex-Londoner I am intrigued how they map that out, AC:Valhalla - love me some norse mythology (hey my DNA says I am 4% Swedish! Gotta be some Viking blood in there somewhere ;-)).

Recently finished Odyssey. Really enjoyed it but I doubt I will play Valhalla. The games are just too big. I will need a few years off from Assassins Creed before I am in the mood to play another.

I've been interested in the last couple of games after being disinterested in the series for years but the size of them has put me off. Given that I'm more interested in ancient Egypt than classical Greece, I could just play Origins, but the Vikings setting for the upcoming game definitely appeals to me so I'll probably just wait.
