| Only a couple of weeks until this is re-released. Haven't played a Xeno game before and quite fancy getting stuck into a proper RPG. Seems like a good time to correct that. |

Registered 10 years agoI'm quite envious of those about to play this for the first time, It's utterly stellar and will be so much better in HD. Even on the Wii, the original was gorgeous and impressive technically with the scale of the environments but suffered being in SD. -

Registered 9 years agoThink I'll wait until it's on sale. It's a fantastic game - maybe even better than XBC2 - but I've already played it. -

Registered 16 years agoPlayed this on 3DS sadly. One of my all time favourites. Buying it day 1 but might not play it for a while. -

Battle system is a blast, environments are stunning and the English dub is awesome, properly funny,

It hits a good balance between story and sizeable locations to explore.
Most JRPGs do one of those well and the other really bad. XC is rare in that it manages both.
It is not all awesomeness though as the English voice acting is cringeworthy. -

Registered 10 years agoGreatest JRPG ever.
So many quality of life upgrades that JRPGs have needed for years, interesting characters with regional british accents, stellar soundtrack, unique concept/story, enjoyable/deep battle system, incredible environments and art design, the humour, the character progression, quest quality, collectibles, secrets etc. Everything is simply absolutely on point, at least it was when I played it at launch.
A little worried it's not as good as I remember but if it's even half as good I'll be happy. -

Registered 9 years agoAnyway, the story is good, characters are good, and it looks and sounds amazing. The soundtrack is right up there with the best in the genre. -

I liked the voice acting at first but I tried playing it again last year and it wasn’t the graphics or gameplay that had aged. It was Shulk and Reyn’s deliveries. -

Registered 12 years agoReally looking forward to this. I have the silly £90 edition on order.
I bought the original on Wii, with the red pro controller, but never actually played it. After finishing 2, I decided to play 1 on Dolphin. I played, I think, about 12-15 (I'd just met Rikki), but the performance started to get really bad, and then they announced this.
I absolutely adored what I played though, and it did make me wonder why some things in 2 were such a large step back from this one.
I just need to finish Tokyo Mirage Sessions before it turns up. Chances aren't great. -

You should be able to get it for 40-42 quid digitally at shopto.net or even by buying the Nintendo online vouchers.

Registered 15 years agoIt's 40 on cdkeys as well. Looking forward to this, loved xc2, completed it twice unlocked all the blades etc. The fan service stuff was a bit awkward, but I think there's less of that in 1? -

Registered 19 years agoWell, the "fan service" was probably less noticeable in SD, but I remember plenty of big boobies and short-shorts. -

Registered 15 years agoI guess the Poppi weirdness, and Tora being a massive perv was what I was meaning, boobs I expected. -

Registered 9 years agoYeah there's less of that. But the Tora-like party member is arguably more annoying, so there's a trade-off. -

Registered 15 years agoReally enjoyed XB2 and even finished the story, and was all set to pick this up on day one. But I’ve just picked up DQ11 again after not playing for a while, so I’ll keep plugging away at that for now. I’ll definitely get this at some point though. -

Registered 15 years agoI need to decide very soon which of my preorders for the LE to cancel as I missed all of the reliable shops' preorders and got one in with Game and one with Amazon UK (as I wasn't sure Game was going to last and the Amazon one was a lot later). Game charged for postage (6 or 7 quid IIRC) for some reason but still dubious about actual copies as they were in stock for at least a week afterwards whereas every other store sold out on the day. Also I know Amazon overpromise quite often (happened with my Valkyria Chronicles 4 LE with Amazon but they did give me a nice discount on the base game afterwards and a voucher.
If I hadn't been put off by the vinyl and cost I may have paid more attention early enough but it would be nice to have the set to go with my XB2 one and I have resisted buying a lot of other stuff.
First world problems, I know... Wish I had managed the Nintendo Store order but oftwn miss those ones. -

Registered 12 years agoI'm in the same boat. I've set a reminder for a week before release (because I'll definitely end up with two, otherwise) and I'll decide what to do then. -

Amazon pre orders are terrible, they just cancel the day before, or the day of release. No notification, just order cancelled. Will never use them again for game stuff.
