pretty sure manuals were thps2, reverts were thps3

Hot damn. This is awesome news. Looks amazing.

I played the THPS1 2-minute demo for weeks before the actual game came out. It was spectacularly different to anything else out at the time.

    New Skate game next please!

I hope it includes Round Ireland With A Fridge, that's classic Tony Hawks.

Just read on IGN that they're adding reverts to this remaster/remake/whatever it is :)

Any of the first 3 in my opinion.

And lean into the crazy level design, that is what made it special.

Holy shit, I never realised just how completely I absorbed this soundtrack. Ive been listening to it this morning and can sing along to songs I didnt even know the name of and forgot even existed.

But on the planet earth, spinning around its axis
Revolving around the sun, revolving around the center
Of the milky way galaxy in a supercluster of galaxies
Will it ever be you and me here and now?

Just put a pre-order in for this. It's out in a couple of weeks and ShopTo are selling it for £33.85.

Couldn't find this thread, I'll delete my duplicate. I've been playing the demo of this and it's absolutely fantastic. They've nailed it completely.

I love how both threads took less than a page to start talking about hash. That is the true power of Tony Hawk.

They should offer an eighth of squidgy black (with a bit of blue plastic bag running through it) as a pre-order bonus.

It won't be the same without having the CD case to skin up on though. This game's release might be the first time I miss physical media.

The audio is slightly off, no revert scrape sound (or it's just low in the mix) and no unique click clack Boneless sound either, on the whole, the audio isn't giving me the feedback I want.

Think the most interesting feature is in the options, you can restrict the moveset to THPS1 (no reverts or manuals) or THPS2 (no reverts), so if you want to play the levels how they were originally designed then that's possible too. And it's got split screen!

Ha you forget reverts didn't appear until THPS3!

Some people datamined the demo and found out some Switch-related pictures, so we should probably expect a Switch announcement soon.

THPS was the reason I bought my first games console. Won't be buying it again though.

Yeah it would be weird to re-buy your first games console.

Come to think of it, I have no idea what happened to it. Or the handfull of games I had for it. Some real stinkers in that collection. Some puzzle fighter game and that CelShaded point and clicker.

I don't think the experience is faithful enough to the original to make those options relevant, which is a shame.

I'd have been happiest with a carbon copy of the original - warts and all - but with prettier graphics, such as C&C remastered.

This is a remaster after all, leaning entirely on people's nostalgia. It isn't a reimagining or fresh take on the series, so why change anything?

Been playing the demo and yeah, I agree with this. The sound of landing an ollie is really unsatisfying, like a dull knock. The sound of an ollie is pretty iconic - how did they get this wrong?

Also, has anyone else noticed that at some point in this series they fucked up the landing animation and instead of bending the knees to absorb the impact you hit the ground knees bent and straighten them at impact? It looks ridiculous.

But other than that the demo is fantastic. It's just easier and more fun to nitpick
