I played the THPS1 2-minute demo for weeks before the actual game came out. It was spectacularly different to anything else out at the time.

Registered 17 years agoThe audio is slightly off, no revert scrape sound (or it's just low in the mix) and no unique click clack Boneless sound either, on the whole, the audio isn't giving me the feedback I want. -

Registered 9 years agoThink the most interesting feature is in the options, you can restrict the moveset to THPS1 (no reverts or manuals) or THPS2 (no reverts), so if you want to play the levels how they were originally designed then that's possible too. And it's got split screen! -

I'd have been happiest with a carbon copy of the original - warts and all - but with prettier graphics, such as C&C remastered.
This is a remaster after all, leaning entirely on people's nostalgia. It isn't a reimagining or fresh take on the series, so why change anything? -

Also, has anyone else noticed that at some point in this series they fucked up the landing animation and instead of bending the knees to absorb the impact you hit the ground knees bent and straighten them at impact? It looks ridiculous.
But other than that the demo is fantastic. It's just easier and more fun to nitpick
