This is going to be horrible, it was easy today but you can see how much its going to hurt later on.

Yeah, I don't like doing my arms at the best of times. Probably see the most noticeable difference quickly though I'd imagine.

Yeah It's good so far. Going to be some really aching arms pretty soon though.

How are you getting on Decks?

Probably the most enjoyable one so far, there's no real horrible exercise. It's just the amount you will have to do that hurts.

Yeah I'm enjoying it. Not sure how long I'll be able to keep going with the 5.5kg though. Think I'll probably split up the reps rather than drop the weights though.

Yeah day 6. Ramping up nicely already.

I think when it gets too tough I'll drop the weight a bit.

Ok here's an idea but it's going to really fuck your arms.

Once the reps go beyond what you can do, do as many as you can with the heavies, then do the rest with the lower weights. If you can't finish them with the lower weights drop them lower again.

Ooooh that sounds horrible! But I'll do it.

    I'm so easily led.

So. I don't know if anyone else found this, but years ago I decided to to do one more pressup on top of the pressups I was already capable of, which was about 24 or 5 at the time. I did that for about 8 or 9 days until I was doing 33 somesuch and I realised I could just keep going, so I did 100 pressups on that sitting. Seemed silly to do more so I stopped there for the day.

Figured I'd nailed it so never bothered again. It had drained the challenge.

Should probably start over and stick it out on the regular, I doubt I can do 12 without hurting now.

Yep, thankfully there is rest days built into this one.

The dips burn so much during the last few.

Yeah dips are going to be the killer I think. 120 by the end. Had to stop a couple of times with the curls too.

The punches are a nice stretch out at the minute, I can see them being quite horrible after the heavier days.

Since I've gotten horribly out of shame due to quarantine and working from home I guess I'll give it a go.

I took one look at the first post of this thread and laughed. Life’s too short to give a shit about muscles arms.

Often on my short walk to the frozen pudding wagon I pop my head into the local gym to shout that they're all wasting their lives.

Yeah they weren't great. The curls with the the 5.5kg are really starting to hurt. Done 40 then 35 with 30 seconds rest.

I think after this one I'll take a weeks break before the next challenge.

Just so I can enjoy the swole for a bit.

You guys have all inspired me to start doing something about my fitness, so have ordered a dumbell set to get started. I figure my arms aren't in too bad a shape so maybe seeing some gains there will help in other areas.

Any recommendations for beginners exercise sets?
