    This is looking decent enough!

Free on gamepass and looks like my eldest (5) and I can play together.

Is it definitely out on PS4 the same day? I've been looking on the store to pre-order a few times in the last week and it's still nowhere to be found.

Skill ups review was pretty damning. 3 hours long and the procedural generation isnt very good. Poor mechanics as well with boring combat and bad design choices.

Hopefully one to enjoy with your kid for a bit but not much else.

That's a shame. Still, being a Minecraft property, hopefully they'll continually enhance and add to it

This basically. Minecraft isn't recognisable from what it was like when it launched and I can see the the games as a service model fitting really well. As long as the core loop is fun and the updates come thick and fast.

Played an hour solo on my laptop and think it's good fun. Sadly, it's apparently not Play Anywhere though, so I'll have to start again if I want to do some co-op on console :/

Played half an hour, feels like a lo-fi mobile game, like Cat Quest or something.

Iím going to persevere longer though as I love the genre, and itís via GamePass.

Played for an hour, it's basically Diablocraft which is lovely. Looking forward to getting back on it already, just hope the support is there as I've heard there's not a lot there as of yet.

I've spent 16 quid on far worse.

Ultra-wide support is zoomed in, which is a bit shit.

Feels like a polished early access game, a base for something more. Will come back to it in a few months.

Played through the first two levels and it's quite fun, not too taxing, but I'll play more.

It does seem odd not being able to hack through the landscape though :-)

Yeah it's not too bad at all. Doing coop and had one crash in the crypt which was annoying but it's very much a lite diablo with a Minecraft makeover. Son is loving it so all good so far.

Hit a bug that means I have to redo a level, but it's not too onerous.

Yeah we've sacked it off. Three levels in a row over two nights its not let us finish a level and we also had one hard crash prompting a system reboot. Shame, but I'm not wasting any more time till it's patched.

Daughter and I started tonight, had fun. Did 3 levels, including play the same once twice.

Starts off easy, but soon ramps up, surprisingly enjoying it.

Not had any problems finishing a map, but we did wipe on one boss and when we reloaded and killed it, the gate didn't seem to open. Turned out that a mob had wandered off and we had to hunt the map for him to complete the level.

All-in-all pretty good though, loads of customisation with armour, weapons, pets etc.

Game really starts opening up after your first completion. It's no Diablo depth wise but it's definitely got that replayability about it.

    Good to know.

Having trouble trying to convince my son to explore the maps fully rather than follow the objective marker all the time.

I really like it and my 8yo lad is in heaven. It definately gets better as you ramps up the difficulty. Scales up really well. If only it had more levels and loot. In a year it will be amazing.

The first playthrough really is like a tutorial mode. As soon as it ups itself to Adventure difficulty you very quickly start being handed some fun toys to create a build with.
