Yup, I'd say that the best gaming mouses are either a Logitech or Razor as well. I had a Razor for about 2-3 years until it broke, but it was SO comfy! Since about 5-6 years I've had a Logitech and I'm likely to continue to have it for 1-2 years more. Nuff said. |

Registered 19 years agoI have a G602, I decided I don't like or need a wire and frankly it hasn't given me a single reason to rethink my decision. -

Registered 19 years agoIt has a better scroll wheel than the 502 and it's more comfortable, also a lower DPI, meaning no acceleration problems. Frankly I don't see the point in super high DPI as I don't like my cursor whipping around the screen at the speed of light, absolutely pointless.
The G900 is the best of the best as far as wireless goes, it beats most wired mice, but it's quite pricey.

Registered 12 years agoI didn't get along with the G502, kept clicking the sniper button on the left when moving the mouse to the right.
Got the G900 now, it was expensive but wouldn't want anything else. -

Registered 19 years agoWhat the hell is a sniper button? Sounds like you have a weird grip, I don't have problems with accidental clicks.

Registered 12 years agoIt's the button on the left under your thumb that instantly lowers dpi for sniping.

I thought you were talking about the G602. I'm not a fan the 502.

Performance-wise, the 900 is best, but I prefer the 602 for similar reasons.
@Dirtbox
Looking at the G900 it seems to be lacking in the button department, the 502/602 have noticeably more, and I absolutely use them for gaming. -

My hands are normal thank you very much.

Do you have freakish hands? I can barely reach that button with normal use with my girly hands.

Honest, I'm not the only one according to the first google results.

Registered 15 years agoThe 2 buttons on 502 by the LMB are *useless* My brain can't manage to work out how to use them properly in game, the wibbly wobbly mouse wheel is similarly no practical use. Other than that though it's a good mouse, and I've got no issues with the sniper button.
(the 602) has a better scroll wheel than the 502 and it's more comfortable, also a lower DPI, meaning no acceleration problems.
? You can set the DPI to anything you want, the 502 has a *lower* range than the 602 as well (min 200 vs min 250). -

Lower maximum dpi, no? Either way there's not a lot in it.

Registered 15 years agoCould be, the higher dps are pretty useless though can agree with you there. I think most people use 800? I actually use 1600 and half the in game sens for pixel skipping issues.
The wibbly wobbly mouse wheel is the left right scroll thing, I can't even use that stuff in windows never-mind in a game. -

Registered 9 years agoI quite like my G900! It's a godsend for a laptop user and the lighter design compared to the G502 makes me more accurate in games, I think. -
i'm looking around for a better m+k combo than my bog standard hp setup.

Registered 4 years agoI currently use Razer Mamba since 2013, been using it ever since.
Just last week I accidentally dropped it and the scroll wheel 'dislocated'. The possibility of discarding such a good mouse briefly broke my heart, until I checked out a dismantling video in YouTube and fixed the wheel in place.
The battery now is severely bloated, I removed it so the mouse can no longer be wireless (though I prefer wired anyway). It's lighter because of that but no big deal. -
I picked up a razer deathadder in the recent cyber sale they had a few weeks back. That and a chroma ornata keyboard.
Not tried them yet as they're a Christmas present from the other half. Her initial reaction was how much? It's a mouse! Until I told her this was a sale and it was £40 off -
The Deathadder is ace! The left button on mine has gone a bit weird so I'm trying out the Razer Basilisk next, looks like a Deathadder with a thumb rest.
