Registered 17 years agoWill be interesting to see if Ubi have been good to their word about separating FC,WD,GR and AC games.
Actually give each game its own identity and usp and not make just anoyher homogenous piece of software. -

Registered 16 years agoI liked FC5 quite a lot - first game in the series I've not bounced off in years. Thought the setting managed a good blend of proper story with Borderlands-style lunacy.
CLUTCH! NIXON!
Was less taken with New Dawn. Had its moments and I liked the linear side-missions you could helicopter off to do, but the open world felt padded and the microtransaction-pushing too obvious.
Will be interested to see where they go for FC6. -

Registered 17 years agoKinda feel the same about New Dawn but it's still fun. Just the whole Outpost concept, more of that please.
You're right that the helicopter missions are the best part. -

Having recently completed FC5 I enjoyed the whole setting but the story hunted mechanic was shit.
I had enough fun until the usual UBI drug/hallucination started happening and an entire 3rd of this game was that.
Not gonna grumble though, I only paid £8 and the hours of darkness' dlc is fun

Registered 20 years agoMy last FC was 3. Currently playing through Div2 so I'm still bouncing around the map Ubi-style but would be nice to see a bit more nature in my open world. Perhaps 6 on SeriesX/PS5 would be a nice return. -

First use of a bird companion in a Ubi game (I think). And probably the best being as it can drop various bombs on enemies. -
I saw a youtuber (WillyB) playlist called Far cry 6 yesterday with 2 videos marked private. Just seen it in listing now, Vaas is back in North Korea ?

Registered 17 years agoForward starts at 8pm. Might as well watch it. Hope it’s just about the games and not the dev heads rambling on about shit we don’t care about. Although their E3 sections in the past were some of the highlights. -

Registered 8 years agoIs anyone watching the Ubisoft conference at all, I'm not bowled over by the stuff on show tbh. Ubisoft are giving Watchdogs 2 for free even if you couldn't log on, because no one could log to watch the conference as the service broke down.

AssCreed is just more of the same again. For everything they talk about and hype up, it looks just like the last one. As much as I like the Viking theme I just can’t get excited about it, it looks pretty boring. -

Ubisoft is pretty good at cinematic trailers though. That Watch Dogs short was sweet, and the FC6 trailer also looked impressive.
I just don't know how much different from the previous games they are going to be...
