| They won’t be. Just bigger scale destruction, explosions and set-pieces. Didn’t except anything different. |

Registered 17 years agoWatch Dogs Legion I quite like, style-wise. It’s a more interesting world than a lot of open world stuff too.
The short wasn’t really Ubi though, it was very much Alberto Mielgo. Which is no bad thing - he was the art director that did the first animation test for Into the Spiderverse and basically created the style (which is why there are a lot of similarities in the WDL short). -

Like to discuss this more on the Far Cry thread.gif)

Registered 14 years agoInstalled the Hyperscape client, and it blue-screened my PC, with its own special stop code. This stuff creeps me out. Uninstalled it immediately.
Uplay is pretty bad already. I don't need anymore trouble. -

Confirmed that it isn't a Far Cry 3 prequel, it's modern day. -

Registered 15 years agoI quite like Far Cry, and I'll probably get this but I just received an email from Ubisoft trying to sell me pre-order bonuses and DLC sniper rifle skin bullshit.
They haven't even showed me the game yet really so trying to sell me extra stuff already is a bit off putting.
Having said that, the DLC for Far Cry has been okay in the past if you count Blood Dragon and Primal.
Now they are going back to a tropical jungle environment, I'm hoping they do a dinosaur add-on campaign. It seems like all the assets are already there with the tropical environments I'm surprised they haven't done it already. -

This is slightly more detailed than EG’s article. The mixture of urban and rural environments definitely appeals to me.

Registered 1 year agoPrimal wasn't a DLC it was more of a spinoff that didn't land all to well with people and isn't part of the main series.
But the idea was great when you think about it. They even invented a new language for it. -

Registered 17 years agoWhat was amazing about Primal is how little padding there was compared to the mainline games. It was still bloated, but not a wallowing pit of pointless like the others can be after a certain point.
Shame they didn’t do more of the survival aspects. I’d buy a sequel in a heartbeat. -

Yes. Yes. Aside from the graphical overhaul that would entail, also give us more enemy character models, and an adjustable slider for enemy respawns.

I'd personally keep the respawns as is (I just avoid going through checkpoints, which is what I think the game intends you to do), but yeah if people really want it I wouldn't mind having that as an option.

I'd redo the voices too, so at the very least they're not playing at twice the normal talking speed anymore. -

Registered 9 years agoI think it will be good, in the same way that all other FarCrys since 3 have been good. Very polished, very pretty, but ultimately a bit samey and not very nourishing. Basically the game equivalent of fast food.
And that's not necessarily bad - sometimes I like fast food! I just don't think it's going to be something that I'll remember having played five years from now. -

Registered 3 years agoWhat wildlife can we expect? Can honey badgers still come in? One of the best stuff I like in FC are that all the best laid plans can just go up in smoke by a random bear/wildcat/skunk that happened to cross my/their path. -

I heard that they needed to do that to fit the whole thing on one disc. No idea if it's true or not, but I'd believe it. -
I just thought everyone in the game was just super buzzed on khat all the time.
