Registered 8 years agoCurrently watching the livestream reveal of this looks nice even with the shitty bitrate but I'm just kinda bored of this type of game now. Looks super ott with the weapons now though.

Registered 9 years agoI'm sure it will be good and fun, in the same, non-offensive way that other Far Crys since 3 (and arguably most other open world games) have been good and fun. I probably won't get it at release, but I'll probably get it for 75% off when I feel like a bit of mindless junk. -

Registered 12 years agoI liked the trailer. Haven't been interested in any Far Cry games since 3, but the setting and sense of humour in this one appeals to me. Big Just Cause vibes. As for "nothing new, not a single thing", pray tell me which other game has a CD-shooting Macarena gun, or an alligator in a T-shirt and disabled sausage dog companions? Apologies if those were in FC4/5. -

Probably would have changed the name of the player after Ted Lasso got big though.

Registered 2 years agoI like the Far Cry games, the mechanics are actually good and it's fun to play. Compare that to AC and the shitty combat and the games being an absolute slog to play.
They normally have a good baddie to keep it interesting too. -

The FPS genre is so well established now, it’s like criticising a fighting game for not doing anything new. -
