Weirdly I really enjoyed FC5. I suspect skipping 4 entirely helped with that, but something about the setting, atmosphere, and soundtrack just worked for me with 5, ending aside.

The ending was the best bit! I enjoyed 5, I didn't enjoy the spin off from it though. That was shit.

The ending was the best bit.
I enjoyed the start, and the final twist, such as it was, was fine.

Just the middle dragged a bit. Sneak into base, arch it up, get spotted, go loud. Rinse repeat.

Climb stuff, get stuff ad nauseum was the more painful bit. I used to enjoy that. Even the nepal one was slightly more fun i thought. The towers certainly were more vertigo inducing.

The formula is just getting a bit tired imo. I'll no doubt cave in the end and buy it regardless...

Just watched the. vid EG/Ian did and looked fun. I do like FC but feel they are getting weaker with each entry hopefully this might buck the trend.

It looks very pretty.

I like the Far Cry games, and liked 5 but felt like they didn’t make the most of the premise. I was expecting a full on civil war, which was hinted at in the trailers, and instead we got a cult thing which didn’t really make sense.

I think 4 is my favourite, and I’d really like a switch port

£16 for FC5 and New Dawn.

I also did this, figured I might as well go all out now that PIGWHIP is a distant memory. Seems like FC5 is indeed just more, prettier FC3/4 but that's fine by me. Although one difference is I'm actually using the companions- I didn't bother with the FC4 "Hired guns" but I quite like the random soldier I've hired in FC5 who gives me herbs occasionally.

Just starting FC4 (played a bit years ago, dropped out). I’ve already got FC5 (same status), Primal and New Dawn (unplayed). Finished FC3 back on the 360 so will hold off that one for now.

I couldn't get in to any of the other Far Cry games after the first one, until I took the time to play FC5, which I absolutely loved.

I can't wait for FC6

I did notice a distinct lack of licensed music in FC4 vs. 3, although the music in the Yuri and Reggie (?) missions was pretty good.

FC5 has some nice middle-America twangy guitars... (so far) and maybe some tracks I recognised even in the first few hours

I still think Primal is one of the best FC and your Owl is the best and most useful flying companion in any Ubi game.It shits all over the AC ones, (well it would!) I do remember Phosphor being pretty great in IFR as Well though.

Primal was good. It wasn’t bloated like the others and had a nice original spin to it. I didn’t finish it though 😔

Primal is great. My FC top 3 would be:
FC2
Primal
FC3 (including Blood Dragon)

I’d rather play frisbee with FC4 and 5 discs than ever play the games again, and the trailer for FC6 has me “meh-ing” in my pants. Have you ever “meh-ed” in your pants? It’s not fun, believe you me.

Do we know if the co-op is tethered again, I hated that. You should be able to go anywhere away from your partner.
