I like a good conspiracy theory. All that crackling sounds like bullets cooking off. You can even see what look like tracer coming out of fire.
Could of course have been some ammunition stored in port or these might be fireworks stored here as well. But not sure why ammonium nitrate would crackle like this?
It comes hot on the heels of a potential sabotage campaign in Iran though.

Registered 2 years agoTonka coming across creepier than letsgo is quite a feat, actually seems to be getting enjoyment from this.
I've seen a few videos and they're fucking scary. Whole buildings just gone within seconds and that shock wave is fucking massive. Hope people got lucky with the location of the blast and the number of casualties stay as low as possible. -

Registered 7 years agoThankfully just had an email from my colleague in Beirut, and he and his family are all okay. They live on the other side of the city from the port, but even there all of the windows were blown out in many of the properties. They thought it was an earthquake, such was the magnitude of the blast. Must have been very scary indeed. -

Saw no thread and forum search being what it is I still don't know what thread this had been discussed in.
