Its so stupid that they haven't given Black Widow, Captain America or Iron Man any charged heavy attacks that are apparently necessary to open up the doors that need smashed down to get at the hostage or treasure inside. Less of an issue in multiplayer as someone playing as Hulk or Ms Marvel can smash it down but it is if youre playing solo. It needs the AI to be able to detect it or some command you can give to smash the wall or even use d pad to switch between characters in single player. They've been saying that they are listening to criticism so we will see where the game is a month or so from now.

For some reason, they chose Capaldi to shriek atonally over the end sequence.

Oh dear. When I think superheroes and people like Thor and whatnot I almost definitely think of Lewis Capaldi.

Ohhhhhh god. That's actually even worse. A mediocre game about guy with hidden 'feelings' scored to a 'sensitive, singer-songwriter'.

The ending was the best part. I was so emotional. I had tears streaming down my face as i poured a little bourbon on the floor, to salute Deacon.

fuck me. I finished Days gone and don't even remember that.
I must have repressed that memory along with my alien abduction.

Days Gone was fantastic. No amount of Capaldi could erase the fun I had with it.

It's actually a little worse than that. There are doors that only Black Widow and Iron Man can hack, which are marginally worse because it's entirely possible even a full group of humans won't be able to open them if you forgot to bring one of those 2.

The smash one has an easy fix - mark the door as a shielded enemy to the AI. That has its issues too as it'd mean the door would pull a little aggro but as long as it goes down in one hit, it shouldn't be too bad. The hack door would be harder as AI never does anything like that.

C'mon guys. Spoilers eh. It's only the thought of who's singing the gut-punchingly emotional end credits song that's keeping me going through Days Gone.

Some things that are fun / good / useful:
    - Specialisations that add orbs on moves (e.g. heroic orbs)
    - Specializations in general (went from 1 Charge for Assault ability to 4)
    - Ranged DPS upgrades (Missiles on Iron Man, High-Caliber Shot on Black Widow, multi-target Shield throw + follow up kick on Captain America)
    - Pym Particle damage (although it makes follow up shots harder to hit)

Iím kind of low key loving this game - itís so entertaining if shallow - but just what I wanted after a million demanding open world games and the emotionally draining TLOU2

Playing the post game and after completing thr mission chain around the hives, the main quest just appears to be stuck at step 2, even though online guides seem to suggest there is a step 3 and beyond. Absolutely no indication from the guides that I need to do anything additional to get this next quest and the game is not highlighting anything to me. The only thing I can think of is to do any missions I havent done, otherwise it may be a pretty serious bug. Or the game does a remarkably poor job in communicating to the player what they have to do next to make progress.

Bought it, played through the campaign and just noped out of it as soon as the credits had finished rolling and I was dumped back in the helicarrier. Absolutely zero motivation to continue.

The below doesn't exactly make me want to go back for the endgame either...

Yep, daily. One of my favourite games this year. Still don't buy it, though. Way too buggy as is.

I have fun because I love the core gameplay so much, but I read up on all the stuff you have to avoid if you want to dodge the bugs. I have to admit it's a big ol' list, which is why I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else yet. Could do with some more gameplay tuning too, which they started in the last update but didn't quite get it spot on.

It was so obviously going to be a big pile of shit.
The surprising thing is that it was even shitter than that.
"one of my favourite games of the year", my arse.

The thing is, it really, really didn't have to be a Destiny clone. All they needed was a really solid campaign without basing mission design around forced multiplayer scenarios nor they did have to have such limited enemy design. It's the fucking Avengers they have so many enemies and villains to face off. It's absolutely baffling.

Yeah, there are elements there were you can see the ghost of a decent game. But everything that's wrong with it is everything that's been forced into it to be a Live Service money suck.
They obviously thought they could con millions of kids out of all that sweet whale cash after they bought the game but seem to have misjudged how much interest there would be.
Destiny players are going to stick with that and younger kids have Fortnite and all that shite.
    who is the target audience?
It doesn't help that on a purely technical level the game is broken as fuck.

One thing I really love, and one of the things that draws me back, is having 6 characters. Every player does. Sure, in other games you can have alts, but in this everyone has to have their own team by design, and you can build them your way. Switching between them means you're building an understanding of all the different movesets so you know how best to act, and what to expect from other heroes in multiplayer. Sure, they'll probably not do it because that's what people do, but at least you'll know they're doing stuff wrong :p

The core combat is the main draw though. I'm still experimenting and finding out new things. Still can't quite gel with the flow of Hulk, but I am surviving longer as levelling up means I can generate more health whilst being aggressive. Thor was a slow burner for me but now I have him generating heroic energy really fast, he can rain down lightning near constantly.

The surrounding game still needs work though. Fixes have made matchmaking work for me now, some of the most frustrating enemies have been tuned and most of the biggest bugs have been sorted. Still buggy though, so still couldn't quite recommend it to others, and they really need to be announcing new content soon, but I can't see me quiting until I've level capped the whole team.
