Registered 10 years agoPity SMG2 isn't in the 3D All Stars collection and that SM64 hasn't had a better visual remake but still hard to resist. -

Me too, it's pretty barebones, a bit shitty but I can't resist playing Galaxy again, especially in HD.

Registered 17 years agoThe whole thing being time limited until March - even the digital version! - is just weird.
The whole package seems pretty barebones, even if I wasn't really expecting a full remake of Mario 64. And the lack of Galaxy 2 is the real kicker as it's the best game of the lot. -

Registered 14 years agoReally looking forward to this but cant help but be disappointed Galaxy 2 isn't included. For some it's the best 3d platformer ever.
And the March thing is a little baffling. -

Registered 4 years agoQuite funny that Nintendo have a timed release on this. Its almost as if they are forcing people on the fence to buy it as they'll never get the chance again.. -

Yeah, it's such a brilliant and natural progression for the whole toy thing they've got going on at the moment.

Why would they spend extra time and money to do this or even a full graphics overhaul on their titles? They know they’ve got your money.

Registered 9 years agoShame about no Galaxy 2, that's the one I really wanted, but the others are so good and its been so long since i played that I've preordered that immediately, superb! -
I preferred the first Galaxy game - didn't like the hub progression on the second one. I probably played it too soon after the original and got burnt out. Excited for all the games really. -

Registered 3 years agoSame here, rice. I thought it was too similar to the previous game, and also didn't like the stripped down production values.
I'm of the opinion that Marios are not at their best when they're iterative of the previous entry. So OG SMB2 (ie The Lost Levels), World, Galaxy 2 and 3D World all pale in comparison to SMB, SMB3, Galaxy and 3D Land, I think. -

Registered 10 years agoI'd agree bar Super Mario World. Probably the best 2D platformer ever created (sorry Super Meat Boy/Sonic 2). -
Oof, £50 feels like a lot, especially as physical copies are meant to be in limited supply. -

I usually go digital but I think I'll try and nab a physical copy of this for nostalgia. Mario Sunshine was the first Mario game I ever played so I'm really looking forward to trying it. I recall getting stuck after a few bosses back in the day (2003...17 years ago...argh). -
