After yesterday's thrilling, news that Blizzard are toying with the idea of converting some of their PC classics to the DS it looks like the stylus is the new mouse.

What games from the PCs glorious past would you like to see given a hand-held resurrection?

I'll kick us off with a couple:

    X-com

and (possibly more than anything else in the world)

    FALLOUT!

Just picture it - vapourising supermutants with a turbo plasma rifle on the bus

    X-com

You've not seen Rebelstar: Tactical Command on the GBA yet, then?

Baldur's gate ain't goin' on no cartridge son, now settle down.

Starcraft. Top screen for action, bottom screen for map.

Or for that matter, any RTS - the bloody stylus would make the perfect control system for one.

Oh and one of those japanese hentai games where you rub the stylus briskly up and down an animated twat until white stuff spurts out of it.

    Bottom screen contains "virtual" kleenex

What about 20 cartridges? :) and they take out the movies and speech?

On that note, what is the largest size card that the DS could use?

As big as they make them I'd imagine.

    One more thought.

    Civ.

Would be king of all hand-held titles.

Slap in a multi-player wireless with Play By Mail options.

Does anyone else feel that the DS would be much more versatile if both screens were touch sensitive?

Those cool "contraptions" games that used to be out for the PC years ago. Loved 'em.

I agree both screens should be touch sensitive, but I'm not qith you on Civ. Have youi seen seen Sim City 2000 on the GBA?

Big game + small screen = bad idea.

This lemmings revival is really winding me up at the moment.

You lot are constantly bitching about Nintendo re-releasing old games, yet in the next breath saying:

"oooh Sony please re-release Lemmings on PSP so I can pay £40 for it again - 'cos obviously the PSP's analogue pad will be a perfect control method for it.."

Grrr hypocritical bastards. You're all for re-releasing a game when it's a game you want, but when it's something you don't.................

I'm under the impression its a new game rather then a "we cant be arsed to make a new game so hears a ten-twenty year old game for you"

Sephy, that's not the impression I'm under. The levels looked pretty damn familiar (albeit redrawn to look nice on the PSP)...

How about something like Syndicate or even better, Syndicate Wars?

The touchpad would be an ideal control mechanism, although I'm not sure how well the detail would scale down on the tiny screens.

Ooo! Good call. I actually tended to prefer Syndicate to Syndicate Wars though - but maybe that's because I only had the demo of SW and it was bastard hard... 8)

Hmmm..I thought it was just a re-release of the original - tarted up mind, but still the same.
