Built for the mass market, off-the-shelf components, lowest-common-denominator approach, a half arsed stab at design aesthetics intended to appeal to the target demographic of sweaty teenage boys. Will that do?

I know this is probably pointless but why? -
All next gen consoles will be pretty much on a par in terms of the technology. None of them will have an edge when it comes to playing more "advanced" games. I expect that the only difference will be in the kind of games written for each platform. That will break down according to the kind of market for each platform. The teenage shooter crowd will buy the 360; the twenty-something mass market will buy the PS3; the lovers of quirky Nintendo goodness will buy the Revolution. Same as before. The car/fast food analogy breaks down utterly but if you forced me at gunpoint I'd say the 360 offered your Big Mac and fries, the PS3 your Harvester chicken fajita special, and your Revolution your Sushi World takeaway. Which is a totally meaningless thing to say, but you did force me at gunpoint. -
