Oh fuck. They really took the "true to the game" thing a bit too far. FPS views in a movie?
There was perfect material here for them to do a hi-tech, psychological horror, a mix between Aliens and Event Horizon. Admittedly, it was be a cliched affair, but it would have been a lot better than back flip jumping, FPS shooting, high-five slapping, rubber monster kung fu pish that this looks like turning out to be.

I actually like the look of this allthough I'm sure the storyline will be cack but as a fan of the game, I think they've done a good job - let's face it, the game has a limited storyline as well.

Yeah I know but I think we expect too much from them which is why we're always disappointed.

Personally, I always go with an open mind and use them as pure entertainment rather than expect an oscar-winning production or performance.

Lets face it, most of these conversions are made so young adults can sit in their seats in awe rather than give us more mature folk some thought-provoking moral.

As long as it has the proper theme tune it will rock.

Seriously though, it will no doubt be cliched and a rip-off of other films. Just like the source material genre really.

They revised the original feature length trailer...doesn't show too much new as far as I can see...just more FPS action I think. Nice little bit at the end of the trailer though !

I still don't see what's not to love about this flick.

(And if I may be serious for just a mo: its odd how the EG crowd is usually moaning and griping about stuff not being "original" or "groundbreaking" enough, and then when someone tries something new, its suddenly bitch central...).
