Thanks for the hunts yesterday. Rajang deffo easier than in iceborne. I did him solo without a faint. Might be around this arvo... Once I complete my Rajang armour I reckon I'll hit HR20 and unlock next quest - Chameleos? |

Registered 7 years agoTalismans are still huge, but you can be a lot more flexible in what to keep and what to bin. I'm digging my earplugs tally since it's comfortable. Will be on later if anyone wants to MP? -

Registered 16 years agoFinding the jump to HR 7 to be quite tough, have managed to complete 3 quests, 2 i felt i was contributing, 1 i was pretty much a bystander, and then also failed Diablos and Rajang a few times -

Not meant to be a patronising question, but have you remembered to upgrade your armour? And have you crafted armour with higher base defence?
And thirdly, if you're having trouble with a particular monster, check up on the damage type they do, and what your resistance level is.
Made a big difference for me with Narwa fight. -

Registered 16 years agoI have three Anjanath pieces which i've fully upgraded i believe, and then 2 other pieces of lower level because i like the skills, they are upgraded but maybe i should start to look for rarity 6/7 pieces to replace them.
Good shout on the resistance level will look that up.
The guard you say... interesting i've not bothered with that so far (Greatsword) lol. -

Registered 13 years agoDon't guard with the greatsword, it'll destroy your health and your sharpness!
Diablos and greatsword don't mix well, certainly tough to solo with a GS. Lance will make it easy, but in a group you'll get there with more openings. -

Registered 8 years agoI've not really used the great sword but I've seen people use the shoulder barge as a guard-like. I believe you take damage but you might be able to get a large chop straight after. -

Registered 13 years agoThe tackle is like a parry move, risky, but with good pay off. You can tackle through roars and most damage dealing moves but don't do it if low on health as it will chip some damage away.
In world it was used to get to true charge quickly by interrupting the charge animation with a tackle twice to bring on the big attack. Such a fun weapon - may have to build one properly in this...
