Registered 17 years agoWell I'm to old for homework too. The facts were/are in a 442 issue about a year/18 months ago. They counted the amount of registered fans in fanclubs for for each team through Britain and Europe. i.e. www.spurs.dk - official danish Spurs fanclub etc. (bad english I know but it's late)
Spurs were 4th, in both cases - home and abroad. I'm/was as surprised as you are, but it's true.

Sunderland are bigger than Manchester United on those terms. Manchester United were selling more replica shirts than the whole of the Premiership in 1992. In 1993 Newcastle out sold Man U by 2 to 1. Obviously our bubble has burst, but I bet any money that more people from Denmark go to St James' Park than White Hart Lane. How many members has the Danish Spurs supporters have?

no idea.
I'm not naive enough to think one article is gospel, but if the 442 team are Spurs fans, I can't think of any reason for them printing it. -

No.one supports Newcastle outside of the North, no-one supports Chelsea outside of West-London. -

Registered 18 years agoI must apologise to morriss, for not realising he's Dansk, I thought! " Is this guy taking the piss? " I went on this Danish site and typed in Spurs and got a basketball team. Tottenham Hotspur (morriss will say " Who the fuck are they ") are a big club, until recent years they held the record of the most FA Cup wins. Here's me thinking what ward did he escape from when Spurs won the Norwich Hospital Cup.

There's enough exile Geordies in London to fill Shite Head Lane twice over, Spurs are shit their fans are shit, get over it. When was the last time Spurs had 52,000 at a home game? What part of London are you from morriss?
Edit: After 2 bad seasons, we've dropped from 6th to this.

This one made me laugh Sid.
True Spurs Story.
I got invited to Spurs vs Man U a couple of seasons ago. As a neutral, I thought it was worth the bus fare to White Hart Lane to see Man U play live.......
At half time, IIRC Spurs were 3-0 up (was it 3-0 or 4-0, can't remember). We just sat down at the start of the 2nd Half and the Spurs Season Ticket holder in front of me turns 'round and says (I kid you not) - "Next goal wins.........."
Man U scored next and you could have heard a pin drop in the stadium - the rest of the match was as quiet as my grans funeral - and the scoreline was 3-4 (or 4-5 - can't remember) to Man U.
My point is, Spurs fans have been so kicked in the nuts over the years, they go quiet at the least setback.
So - yes - they are in fact, shit. -

Registered 18 years agoIts not just about winning things more recently though, otherwise it means Chelsea are a bigger club than Man U and Liverpool.
They could just as easy throw back when was the last time you were in a cup final, or contention in the league, or champions league, or average attendance over the last 10 years

Well thats not really true...I had to Google as I was sure they had won something...League Winners in 1904-05, 1906-07, 1908-09, 1926-27 (which I hate to point out is two more times than Spurs!) and the European Fairs Cup in 1968/9.
You get me wrong, they've never won anything....ever!
they have no history to speak of.
OK, its not alot but its a bit harsh to say they have no history!
EDIT - Got my stats mixed up!

You should do alright, Deportivo were good at home against the Pool last year, but shite when they came to Anfield.
