I don't know. Don't like the look of it at all. Mario Kart needs faster tracks, less straights. Booooo.

What's with those fucking in between adverts that force you to watch them before you get to what you want?

I'm using Firefox with the mediaplayer plugin on Linux, it brings up the url's of each stream. That way you can bypass the adverts:)

Think the speed looks about right, I'm currently more concerned with the, um, rather tubby tracks. They don't look particularly technical - I mean, compare that beach track to Koopa Beach in the original and it positively dwarfs it.

At least they've sorted out the speed though, Double Dash was possibly the slowest game I've ever played...

Wow, that looks very impressive indeed. A lot closer to the GameCube version that I thought possible.

    On a slight tangent....

Does anyone know whether carts from different regions will be able to play against each other online?

I know there are problems with the local multiplayer-multicart link-up for the DS, but it'd be shame if the same applied to the first batch of online games. You'd think Nintendo would make them all compatible wouldn't you?

In some games this works, in others not.

    Not really. :)

Yes but Otto's not a "gamer" in the sense that you and I understand it. Given the choice between Mario Kart DS and Carvello's Golf Sim he'd still have a tough choice... :)

Otto's not going to be interested in a racing game until someone releases a turn based one, bless him :)

I'm still gutted EA rejected my idea for turn-based Burnout on the DS.

I am shockingly impatient, also I know if I bought it today (provided it was available) I wouldn't be able to justify the silly import price as it would probably get played for about ten minutes before it bloody came out here.

I just need to resist going to check on the way to the sandwich shop.

I know they are canada affiliated but I thought they had a stock sending from sheffield or somewhere like that.
