    w00t!

Monkey Island is good. Day of the Tentacle is better, but Monkey Island is good.

I'm guessing you'll need a GBA Flash card... but thats only a guess..

    Correct.

If it was a proper conversion then I'd be slightly woot-esque, but that screen will simply be too small to see any of the words in Monkey Island.

From what I understand. There are methods available to boot from the GBA slot using a flash cart, but these require some form of passthrough in the DS slot, or a firmware upgrade, so you can send stuff via wireless to the DS.

Not really looked into it properly.

Easiest way to do it is get a wifi card and hack the driver. You need a GBA flash cart in all practical cases.

    Screenshots!

I guess the situation is thus:

    Advantages:
Not just Monkey Island, but all SCUMMVM games should be playable

    Disadvantages:
The DS screen isn't big enough to display the game at full resolution, and since text plays a big part in these games, that will be a problem.

So, while it's a fantastic development, ideally Lucasarts will go back and redo these games for the DS, reformatting all the artwork for the DS resolution and maybe putting the inventory on the other screen.

and now it's Hexen! The DS could very well be the perfect console for the older PC games using mouse control, I can imagine FPS's being amazing on it. They've even used the second screen as the map!

Forgive my ignorance, but how do you get the rom files on the DS?

The Neoflash is supposed to be overpriced, rips off the hard work of the dev community and not worth the money. There is supposed to be a compact flash based solution coming out on the 26th August and this could very well be the ideal solution for homebrew because of the large storage space and easy writing. It's what I'm waiting for anyway :)
