Why does Wrex start with a W? He's an alien. He says "hi my name is Rex" and the first English-speaking human to record it writes Rex and he says "no, no, there's a silent W"?
Is it not pronounced Wh-rex? Like Cool Whip?

Very nice graphical enhancements given the games age imo

    MEL Official Graphic Comparison Video

Very close to a preorder now! Might just play it close to the wind until the release week in case of a killer preorder deal dropping in time...

I never played FemShep either in ME3 so thinking taking her for a spin on MEL. She can like the ladies too right?! But then the wife walks in... whatís all this about then?! Still canít be worse then gravity defying mammaries on some jRPGs though right?

Wife once walked in on the Witcher 3 unicorn scene too! That took some explaing too Ha Ha! Thank for the nations blind acceptance to internet pron addiction of every red blooded male in the country plus HBO lowering the bar making these things easier to laugh off without finding your gaming gear in pieces outside the front of the house the next morning! LOL!

Some characters are straight, some homosexual and some bisexual (like real life, eh). So you can't stick your strap-on into the same characters as BroShep.

Mark Meer is a cool dude, but I like Jennifer Hale's performance of Shepard better. Although I have never played FemShep Renegade, she's supposed to be an utter badass.

FemShep Renegade is the best way to play...by far! Jennifer Hale delivers a fantastic performace, the way she delivers her lines is brilliant. I have played through the series multiple times and this is the way I would always play it now.

No offence to Mark, but he delivers his lines in a very subdued way.

I am still a bit miffed that I finally bought the overpriced ME2 and3 DLC on PC last year (on a sale for £20 for both admittedly) but as I still haven't actually played them not too sure about double dipping at full price (I lost my ME 1 save so procrastinated over replaying it or going straight to ME2 using 'choices' and not used to being forced into KB+M these days). First world problems I know... I did play through Andromeda instead.

I'll be waiting for the Game Pass release of these. While newer and shinier is always nice, I've got the originals to fall back on in the unlikely event I get really desperate to play them.

I can feel myself wavering as we get nearer to release. Must resist.

Considering it's my favourite game series, I think I'm going to treat myself.

Haven't played them in years in the vain hope this was going to happen. Which makes me a winner.

I hear that. I've been so close to trying skyrim again on gamepass too, but the thought of spending so many hundreds of hours playing a game I have already played is stopping me so far.

    Yet the temptation is strong.

On that score at least, the Mass Effect games were on the "we won't completely disrespect your time" end of the game length spectrum. Optional side quests, and with the resource meta game the only real grinding, they're all sub-30 hour experiences if you want them to be.

Not sure I could be bothered, truth be told. It's also one of my faves, but perhaps I'll just leave them in the past. Make another new one, for the love of all that's holy, and this time give it to a more experienced team (or give the less experienced one more time).

The Mass Effect trilogy, 1 in particular, are they games I've replayed the most out of any I've ever owned. It's not only one of my favourite game series, but also one of my favourite series in the science fiction genre full stop, regardless of medium.

So yeah, I've also been anxiously waiting for these upgrades for a full replay.

If you've never played it you're in for a treat! One of the best stories in gaming imo.

@scott1987 As others have said, you are in for a peach of a story. There are loads of great characters, they will make you laugh, angry and cry. If you love Sci fi, you will adore this.

I wish Strangelove would come back. :(

I'd really enjoy re-evaluating them with him around, particularly since the first game (which I think wasn't as good as the second) has gotten such a big overhaul.

Its weird. I think of myself as a Mass Effect fan but I only really love the first one. Best story, best combat(yes, it is. I know its a bit janky but it actually feels like an RPG's combat), best characters and best overall atmosphere (god, the music).
    All worth playing though.
    Well, maybe not Amdromeda

I finished Andromeda last year, and thought it was fine, maybe 7 or 8 /10 game for me. I just concentrated on the main quest and character missions and ignored all the filler.

The facial animations were a bit bogus, but the sci fi story was fine enough, and the gameplay was alright too.
