That may just be starting to recede at the temples. Mine are a bit but the barber says it's only age, 26, and it could be a very gradual process over 15 years....then again they're hardly going to say you'll be bald in a month....

It takes time, but 15 years is probably stretching it a bit.

42 here and its been disappearing since my mid-20's. Apart from the initial anxiety of losing it, it hasnt changed my life one jot. People still liked me, even attractive women. I still got job offers. It didnt damage my health and I saved money at the barber's by clipping it myself. #2 cuts FTMW! ;)

Started losing my hair at 13-14, which was probably the WORST age for it to begin. Asking girls out at that age was bad enough, without having a haircut like Jason Voohees in the early Friday the 13th Films.

By 15 I had a huge bald crown and my hair line had pretty much receeded to that area too. I started having Number 1 head shaves well before I left school. This also irritated me being a heavy metal fan, and I wanted long hair :(

I never went completely bald though, it halted at about 16 years old. I'm nearly 30 now and so long as I keep my head shaved (it needs to be close, or the outline of my remaining hair looks abysmal), I look absolutely fine.

The simplicity of a head shave means I can do my own hair as well (Well, the missus can tidy the back if i mess up), i'm probably the only man I know who has never been in a barbers in his life!

Still, I laugh at my old school friends who are starting to whine about losing their hair now at 28-29... I don't have a lot of sympathy TBH!

I've (currently) got an awful 60s-esque moptop.

So no, I'm not balding, I just have bad hair.

Psh. I've already got all the technology I need.

In all honesty though, I'll never understand why anyone bothers with things like hair plugs. It's just hair :\

I've been going bald slowly since I was about 20. I'm 30 in a couple of months and over the last 2 years it's really speeded up, to the point where I'm probably going to have to do the all over electric shaver thing within the next year. It'll be a shame as I think I definitely look better with hair than without it, but I've got a decently shaped head, so I might be able to pull it off. There are more important things to worry about anyway in the scheme of things.

Having said that, I'd be all over a proper cure were one to present itself.

Been losing my hair since I was about....24/25 went to the barbers and got a no2 and I look better with my head shaved than with hair so its a bonus. I still get my nogging shaved at the barbers/hairdressers cos its only 5 and the hairdresser has a nice rack and stands close to the back of my head. :D

[smugbastard]Well i had long, silky, thick hair from age 18 to 26 (it was just abouve my ass at one point), i now get it cut short once a year, but let it grow out into a bush. All the barbers have remarked how thick my hair is :D

Considering my brother had lost most of his by age 22 and i'm hitting 30 this year, i'm doing pretty well! [/smugbastard]

Karma dictates i'll probably get sat on by an elephant for posting this

Been losing it since the age of 28 (40 now) but its been a slow process, can't Picard it yet. I find it a difficult one to live with but the girl I diddled at the weekend told me it doesn't bother her, and other ladies never seem to have worried, but yeah, I would be all over a cure like stink on stink.

    Stop wanking? Preposterous!

@mrpon Yes, but only one at a time and only until I bore them shitless with my gaming addiction. It would seem the ladies are more interested in how much care and attention you give them, rather than the state of your noggin. Go figure. Strange creatures.

On top of a receding hairline, I've noticed a small bald patch starting to form pfff probably 8 years ago or so, when I was 29. It's on the top of my head, towards the front, behind the quiff so to speak. Annoying but not really anything to lie awake at night from. Part of life and growing older isn't it.

I can completely understand why some people care about losing their hair, but I'm so glad I'm not one of them. I honestly couldn't give a shit.

My crown and hairline seem to be making a really concerted effort to meet in the middle nowadays. A bit of a shame as I've always had really distinctive frizzy blonde hair (I said "distinctive", I didn't say it was good, remember! But it definitely makes me easier to spot in a crowd and it's part of my self-image so I'm gonna miss it).

Still, I'll be 33 in a couple of months, so that makes me much luckier than both my brothers who started losing their hair at 17 and 23 respectively. At least I've had a lot of years to get used to the fact it was likely to go at some point, but I still don't like it!

I can see it must have really sucked to go bald young like my brothers and comradetony above from last year, but at least for those people, the process of going bald and the realisation you're getting old were two separate events separated by a lot of years. If you start balding in your mid-30s you have to deal with both at once!

Yeah. As long as you're buff it's all good.

I have to admit I've been hitting the gym much harder since it started going. If I've got to be bald I'd rather try for the Bruce Willis look than the Homer Simpson one.
