Not gloating, but I'm incredibly glad I haven't lost a single hair at the age of 38, and that my dad kept his hair until he died too. This is mostly because if I shave my head it looks like a reduced for clearance potato.

Haha fair enough. Though the back of my head is a bit pointy. I could use it as a weapon

What about facial hair? I have a ginger beard and I gotta say I loves it

Had a baboon's arse on the back of my head for about a decade now. Still haven't got used to the splat of raindrops on skin up there :(

Worst part was how I found out. There I was, going about my business being chuffed that I wasn't bald when several of my mates were already, and then I saw myself on video - and I was like: WTF, I'm bald?! And then I was like: That shit didn't happen overnight, and no-one told me?!

I guess I was never very vain to begin with, otherwise I might've kept closer tabs on what was going on back there ... and I had stupidly long hair at the time, which explains why I hadn't had that little revelation sooner, courtesy of the barber's mirror.

Anyway, long hair and a slappy patch really isn't a good look, so (what remained of) the mane had to go. Bah :|

Just had a buzz cut which left me some patchy hair so it didn't look good at the start but since some of its growing, it now looks better.

I'd love to have a beard but my facial hair is fucking rubbish :(

So to make up for it, I shave my head.

I'm bald down below. Ladies love the plucked turkey look.

I've got a thinning bit on top. I asked my barber for advice. They said if I saw any hair on the floor I liked the look of, they could try and glue it on. And then laughed.

Been shaving my head with bare clippers for a few years now, it wasn't the baldness that got me but the grey hair starting when I hit 30, was sorted and happy for a bit until I looked below and found them there as well, now doing the plucked turkey as mentioned above.

Fear baldness but it's the grey that gets you in the end.

My baldness isn't too bad, the island above my forehead hasn't separated from the continent of hair quite yet.

I found out when I got sunburn up there on honeymoon. Didn't notice until I got in the shower. I knew I was receeding from the front, but didn't notice the thinning at the crown.

I had awesome curly hair as a teenager. Started receding at 19. Tried to cover it with a cap until at 21 decided to take control and shave it off. It didn't help that i have an odd shaped head so felt really self conscious.

I'd advise any tefal headed teenagers to do the same. Going bald at that age is difficult but is made harder by not confronting yourself that it is happening.

I was clipping my hair to number 1 from the age of 30 to hide my gradual balding, then to 0 from the age of 35. Now in my early 40's I'm using a Mach 3 every few days. It's a pain but I'm quite comfortable now having no hair.

Facebook seems determined to sell me one of these elaborate stick on wigs though. It's advertised in my news feed almost every day. Apparently I can go swimming in it and everything!

Glad I'm not the only one who got those ads. Bloody facebook. Who wrote that code?

I was starting to thin at the age of 18/19 and shaved it when I hit 21. Best decision I ever made as I never worried about going or being bald whereas up until that point it was always on my mind. My advice to anyone going bald, don't try to hide it. Just get rid :-)

No bald spot or grey hair at 41. It may be unmanageable curls but at least there's plenty of it.

All bald people should wear wigs. There's nothing quite compares to the joy of spotting someone wearing a shit wig.

Have any other fellow baldies gone all the way, and started wet shaving? I’ve been down to less than zero for years (I use a 0.2mm blade) so it feels like it wouldn’t make a massive difference to go full bald, but I wonder how much that tiny bit of stubble counts for something.

My mother has very thick blonde hair and my father very thin dark brown hair, and so given that I inherited my father's hair colour I always assumed that I'd soon follow him with him starting to go bald at 28.

But I'm 36 in a month from now and not a receding hairline or bald patch in sight - only the odd grey hair. I guess I got my mother's genes after all (my grandmother on her side at 87 still has brown hair and has only been going slightly grey in the past five years).

If anything, I have the problem that I can't get to the hairdresser's fast enough to keep it trimmed. I cut it down to a grade 5 with clippers and it's already an unmanagable mop three weeks later. My hair's so thick that it chokes anything other than professional clippers.

The funny thing, I know I should be grateful for it, but I wouldn't have had a problem with going bald.

I wet shaved a couple of times but the irritation after was nasty and I got ingrowing hairs so fuck that shit.

I've looked at hair removal cream to go full Lex Luthor but it's nasty on your scalp apparently. The only ones that really exist are marketed at black guys and are formulated especially. And even then they're harsh.
