You've probably been there but Gamefaqs has an upcoming PSP release list. Not sure how comprehensive it is but there might be a few you've overlooked. -

Oh no! Just when we'd reached a some sort of calm discussion you have to post a comment that begins with that?!
The PSP is lovely, yes, but that kind of comment is just blatent fanboyism. Personally I prefer the DS, but I'm not going to start slagging the PSP because of it. By all means say "I've got a PSP and find that is has a more appealing line-up of games and features to me", that's your opinion to which you are entitled, but stupid comments about one console 'pissing all over' another just means your opinions will be treated as pretty much worthless. -

I'm a bit disappointed with the PSP games at the mo. Me mates got Metriodos or summick like that and it pisses all over Luminies. Anyhows I alway use pisses all over for when something is better.

Registered 18 years agoWell in your lingo I reckon the DS, ahem, pees a little over the PSP but once GTA and PES are released I reckon both the PSP and the DS will be able to pee side-by-side in their own unique ways.
And Meteos is fantastic and worth purchasing a DS for I'd say. -

Registered 17 years agoPac-man ate my wife(?!) what meteos like? pretend Ilived in a cave the last year or so... (I'm not into hand-helds consoles) and what type of game is it.
I think the 2 consoles can live together, they have really diferent styles and the DS must be great for RTS games. -

yeah, it's a video segment, and of great quality in any standard. that's what you do when you've got some empty cartridge space to fill after the game is all done.

Registered 18 years agoMeteos is a falling block game. You align 3 or more like-coloured blocks and they turn into rockets blasting back up the screen carrying any blocks atop them.
The beauty of the game is that it's got many different 'planets' or levels and each one has a different gravity and set of conditions. So, for instance, on one planet your blocks will fly off the top of screen without any trouble, whereas on another they'll fall back down quickly. When that happens you need to launch further blocks to accelerate them off screen.
If you've played Tetris and Zoo-Keeper (or Bejeweled so I'm told) it's like a cross between the two but with way more depth than either.
In short, if you've got a DS get it. If you've not got a DS, then get a DS and get it. -

Registered 17 years agoThanks I keep my eye on it. if I could get my filthy little hands on a second hand DS then ill look it to it.
And by the way: wich are the five must have games for the DS and the PSP? -

Registered 17 years agoMust have games for DS:
Meteos (import)
Zoo Keeper
Kirby (import)
Mario
Another Code
Bomberman (assuming you have other DS owners to play against - the singleplayer isn't up to much)
(probably Nintendogs (also on import) as well, but I haven't played it yet - I think I might wait for a PAL release of that!). -

Registered 18 years agoCan't speak for the PSP as I'm on a 'wait-and-see' with that one but I can advise on the DS.
My non-import Top 5:
Super Mario 64 DS
Another Code
Wario Ware Touched
Zoo Keeper
Project Rub
My US import Top 5:
Meteos
Kirby Cursed Canvas
Nintendogs
Nanostray
Puyo Pop Fever
My Japanese import Top 3:
Electroplankton
Ouendan
Daigasso! Band Brothers
EDIT: Put Zoo Keeper in instead of Polarium but it's genius too

really like mr driller, bomberman and puyo pop fever aswell .. but you can get these for most any other system. another code was also quite okay. -

Registered 18 years agoThe DS has Nintendodogs Whippets, mongrels and pugs. Mario 64DS and that meteos, that's about it really. The PSP has Mercury, Ridge Racer, Wipeout Pure, Fifa, Luminies and lots lots more. There's also PES 5, Need for Speed Most Wanted and GTA, just around the corner. -

I don't really play much linked stuff - is the single player worth it? -

Registered 16 years agoprobably not worth it if you're only going to play it single player, no..
anyone try bomberman ds in multi with more than two "human" players yet btw, or better yet 8? not me. heh. would like to though.
or puyo pop fever .. 8.
probably never going to happen, of course. -

Registered 17 years agoWell, it's my girlfriend's actually, so I've not had a lot of time to play it (since she's 200-odd miles away
). The singleplayer is pretty simple (but surprisingly very challenging, I've found), but it may not be worth it on it's own. In multiplayer it really shines (and that's only playing 2 humans and 6 bots). It's brilliant, all the different levels give it so much variety and really shakes up what tactics you should use. I imagine just playing battle mode against the bots might be worth it if you can find it cheap-ish!
Along with myself and my gf, I know 4 other people at uni (on my course) that we can play Bomberman against! Frankly, I can't wait!
