Heh. They are making the VAR refs have to wear a full kit even though they are not at the actual match.

    FULL KIT WANKERS.

Pretty excited for tomorrow now. I hope Russia get fucking pumped every game and go out bottom of the group.
There’s a good article on the Guardian website today regarding why the Russian squad is so poor.

Thanks for that. Just read it. Very illuminating. Hopefully they get dicked.

Third time Mexico hosting in 50 years. Doesn’t really seem fair.

US twice too. It is quite odd that we can't seem to convince them that the UK should get a chance.

Vancouver dropped out as a potential host city a few months back, citing concerns about financial transparency.

FUCK YEAH! We only accept corruption from the NHL and CFL

Yeah indeed, it's far from guaranteed at the moment but if it does happen I'm jumping at the chance.

    WORLD CUP FEVER

went through the wallchart with my son earlier today.

"You can watch a bit of Russia vs Saudi Arabia when you get home from nursery"

"But i want to watch it nowwwwwwwwwwww daddy!!"

    I give him 2minutes before he's bored.

I told my daughter the world cup starts today over breakfast and she rather witheringly replied 'i know. It's the only thing that's got the boys in my class to stop taking about fortnite...'

    Uruguay to win it?

(Best centre back pairing, best strike partnership, energetic young midfield?)

I am a horrible tipster. I now fully expect Godin's legs to fall off and Suarez to announce that he has seen the light, given up football, and joined the Moonies.

Getting very excited now, but dear lord it's an uninspiring opening fixture lol I genuinely hadn't realized just how far Russia have slipped since 2008.

In other news, I also hadn't realized that Southgate is the highest paid manager at the WC by some considerable distance. Not that that's really saying anything, but I was certainly surprised.

Mine just shrugged. He'll be back from football training at the start of the game, that might encourage him somewhat.

Disappointed to be missing the opening fixture, uninspiring as it is. I thought the opening games were usually in the evening?

First game I'll be able to watch live is Spain v Portugal and I'm looking forward to that one.

    @nickthegun

Man, I haven't seen Shaolin Soccer in ages. May dust off the DVD tonight, to help build the hype. 😁

It's what the group stages are all about imo. Some good, some bad, but football on, all the time. Marvellous.

It's going to be tough. Russian prositutes are, apparently, the best in the world.
