Would this not work rather well? If they could fit a couple of leagues onto the cart then I think this would be almost perfect for playing a handheld version of the game. Just think about it, the two screens could be used to view your team and information on a player at the same time and the stylus would provide a perfect way to navigate all of the menus. One of the screens could be used to show what's happening in game and the other could be used to show stats. If they could fit as many players and teams onto the tiny cart as they can then this would nearly be perfect. I know there is a PSP version in the works but would that not be a bit fiddly to control? I'm sure you could make more of the game with the PSP (Having more space for more teams and players etc.) but I think the DS would be a brilliant platform to bring the game to. |

Well, let's make a deal. If you can explain me in what way this would make the console better, I will personally, through means that I have to keep secret for security reasons, will make sure that a console of you choice will never have sports titles. But you have to convince me.
As for FM on the DS, initially I thought it was a no brainer, but apparently it wouldn't work for some reason (DS not powerful enough, the carts being too small, I don't know). That's what the SI boss said in an interview with EG some time ago.

Put the undoubtedly talented footie game devs & artists to work on a title that has nothing to do with footie/sports. That would make the console better by a) not being associated with footie/sports and b) having better games instead. QED. -

Except that those talented people are a) very passionate about footbal and b) inexperienced in other fields (we're talking FM here, not FIFA, remember?).
And in what way would it help if the console is not associated with football?
You're only supposed to use QED after you prove something.
