We won't be getting our hands on an early copy, sadly. Rockstar simply don't supply early code to websites, full stop.

Im so torn between this and Burnout 2, this looks like it has more depth and variety, but Ive heard it is hard and frustrating.

    Same quandry.

This or Burnout 2. I've already completed and really, realy enjoyed Burnout 2 on the PS2. Now, however my PS2 is gone and I'm left with a funny green block and I'm thorn between something I know is good but have already finished and something which may be good but might be great. Ho Hum ...

    Woe is me :o)

I had the same dilemma, I opted for Burnout2 and have to say I haven't enjoyed a game so much in a long time. The feeling of speed and wrecklessness is superb, handling/physic just how I like them. Plus of course you have the crash junctions. Have yet to try it 2 player split but its supposed to maintain 60fps. I would recommend it. I'd probably think twice if I'd already finished it on ps2 mind. I hear the improvements are minimal, ie,higher frame rate, more traffic, more decals, more crash junctions etc.

    edit: brain disconnected

2 player split is superb - you no longer feel you're squinting into the distance as with the PS2 version. And to be honest, as impressive as the PS2 version was, I never really got drawn into Burnout2 until I upgraded to the Xbox version. It's the combination of sharper and smoother graphics along with the highly enjoyable custom soundtrack option. Red Hot Chilli Peppers never sounded so apt.

    At last it's shipped...

So anyone's guess as to what this is going to be like? Another "Middleware" cross-conversion? Or will the live content actually be worth the entrance fee!?

Ah well, I needed something new to play and gamesplanet are flogging it for 29.99 postage free as usual.
